Ok so this is probably a silly question, but how do you wash bottles and pump parts in the dishwasher? We just got a new dishwasher and I never washed our bottles in the old one because the racks were broken and rusting in many places.
Do I have to buy and use a dishwasher basket? Or can I just put the bottles on the top rack? What about pump parts?

I put the bottles on the top rack and then use the basket for parts. We had a basket before we had LO for stuff like Mason jar parts and whatever else was small.

We did top rack for the bigger things and had a basket for the little stuff. FYI, I stopped using the dishwasher when some of my stuff came out stained orangy-red because of spaghetti sauce. It was all clean, but the colour really turned me off.

I put the bottles on the top rack, pump parts in the baskets, and hand wash the nipples.

I rotate between hand wash and dishwasher because they just don't get quite as clean in the dishwasher. I hand wash nipples, membranes and the blue inside of the dr brown bottles every time.
