DD2 is 2 weeks old and I have started freezing 4 oz a day. I don't need a big stash since I will be working at home and she'll be with a nanny for a while, but I can't wait to go out with friends etc again!

It was! But I didn't really ever have enough for a stash until around 7 months, when I started taking More Milk Plus and got an oversupply.

Yes, I loved it! I have about 80oz but haven't pumped in over 6 weeks...I really should rotate through it though.

Yes! I was so proud of that stash. Then she never drank a single drop. No one drop. Such a waste!

@autumnlove: I know. I am the same way, totally obsessive!
@BabyBoecksMom: I have a bottle but can never remember to take it. Did you not drink anything for 15 min before or after taking it like the instructions say? I am always so thirsty!
@sarac: oh no, was it because of a food intolerance?

Yes! It was very exciting until I realized I had stored over 200oz in a month and only worked out of the home 12hrs/week. Doi.
But hey, store enough and you can take a long vacation like me, lol.

Sometimes I go downstairs to our freezer just to gaze lovingly at my stash and count the ounces and reorganize it. I have almost 500 ounces down there which is absolutely insane, especially since I'm a SAHM. I'm considering the idea of not nursing anymore but feeding her what I have in the stash. I will only do that if I have enough to make it to a year or if we have issues when she gets teethnor something. I just love breastfeeding so much though so I'm not sure I could actually do that.

No, she just never really used it. She wouldn't take a bottle, and didn't really want it from a cup. The first time we had to be separated for more than a few hours, she was 11 months, and didn't *need* the milk. She was happy to nurse when she saw me, but just fine without it.

I was so proud of the stash I built. Over 100ozs of just in case milk (since I had the full year off and she nursed almost exclusively). Once we figured out she was MSPI and couldn't drink that milk I'd saved, I gave it to a friend of mine for her little guy. So sad to see it all go, but at least it was used and not dumped.

I used to be able to gaze lovingly at my 1,000+ oz stash, but we got a chest freezer for Christmas, so I haven't been able to see it since then

@Andrea: yeah, I would just look at the clock and psych myself up and say "ok, I can make it 30 min w/o water". LOL

@Minnie_Girl: DH does want to send me on a girls' trip when I am ready. Where did you go?
@eeh: "gaze lovingly at my stash" -- totally!
@sarac: sad!!
@prettylizy: i am still on the look out for MSPI so i am not going to store too much just yet. your friend must've been so grateful!
@BabyBoecksMom: yuck, i hate being thirsty so i haven't been taking it. seems like my supply is OK so far so i won't use it yet.
