Our LO is 8.5 months old and since he was about 6 months we've been giving him a sippy cup with water after his dinner. More as a means of getting used to a sippy or something other than a bottle than actually getting him to drink a lot of water. At the most, he'll drink 1 oz, but typically it's more like a half ounce. He usually just plays around with his cup. We still give his milk to him in bottles.

There seems to be such conflicting info on when to transition to a sippy and if a baby needs to drink water. I'm assuming if he was thirsty he'd drink the water, so I haven't been too concerned with his water intake. But, when do we start ditching the bottles and moving to a sippy? Do you need to move to a sippy? Should I be more concerned because he isn't drinking water?
