How do you handle well visits and daycare?
My doctors office only schedules well visits between 9-3. We have a 9am appointment.
Daycare likes to have all the children in by 9am for the day.
Should I ask him if I can just bring him when I'm done?
Will he be too sleepy/cranky after shots?
I will be starting my job a week before, so taking the day off is not an option.
DH can work from home, but not really with a cranky 1 yr old.

We just tell day care we will be late. They don't suggest for when they want them there by though. Most of the time I give her Tylenol after the shots so she will make it through the day and not be sore. Usually she naps well and then crashes that night for bed.

Just tell them that he has a pediatrician appt and will be coming in after. They should allow it.

@Smurfette: good to know! We just started daycare a week ago so I didn't want to ask for special favors, but I'll check about this case.
My big concern was leaving him a sleepy crying mess, but if R does well that's reassuring. daycare is across the street, so maybe DH can work from home in case.

@wheres_c: They shouldn't have a problem with it. I mean he has to get his shots to even be at day care. Will he be there for nap time?

Our DCP also officially starts the school day at 9am but if they are late they are late..... its not like you cant come after 9am they just prefer you to be there before.
Luckily our ped opens at 8am so we always get that apt then drop off afterwards at DCP.

As long as we tell them beforehand that we will be in after the cutoff drop off time, they are fine with it.
