My 14 week DS is in daycare and they do naps on demand. He only naps 2-3 times at daycare for 20-45 minutes each. I understand why they do on demand for his age, but it sucks that he doesn't sleep very much! By the time I get him home at 6p, he is crazy overtired and it can be a struggle to get him to sleep. I have noticed that some times he sleeps really well at night on daycare days. I know they say sleep begets sleep, but sometimes that is not the case! I may sleep train with Ferber in a few weeks to get my DS into his crib (he sleeps in his swing and I bounce him to sleep). Is it a terrible idea to sleep train when baby naps so poorly? Or is it possible that we will have more success because he is so tired? Anyone else have experience with this?
