When did you start ? At almost 6 mo PP I rarely leak and only in the mornings if I go a long stretch without pumping but I'm still sleeping in a sleep bra.

I always wear a cami to bed! I could go without though

I've never slept in a bra pp/bf'ing! I don't leak at all though. I guess that's one good thing about having a low supply!

I slept in those target nursing camis for 6 months or so. I've never leaked.

I tried sleeping bra-less last week for the first time since starting breastfeeding 9 months ago - I ended up getting up about 3 in the morning and put a bra on because I had leaked on the bed, so I won't be trying that again anytime soon! Most nights I wear a breastfeeding singlet to bed.

i used to be braless every night to sleep, but have worn a bra/tank to bed since she was born! it's not so much about leakage (i leak through all the time) but support. i feel like they get so heavy and engorged that i need support!

I probably could it I wear a bra almost 24/7!

I kind of thought you were always supposed to. I've worn a bra every night since her birth.

I stopped wearing a bra to sleep recently. Bf for 6.5 months. I slip nursing pads under my cami though.

@78h2o: same! Glad there's some good that comes with having supply issues.

I dont wear a bra. I just leak through my shirt and chang after MOTN feedings if necessary. I have a stack of tshirts by the bed.
pear / 1510 posts
I hardly ever do. I find even the most comfy bras to feel constraining and I like the gals to feel free. I don't feel like I need the support. I have a few crossover tanks from Old Navy that I can put nursing pads in if I need to - they'll generally keep them in the right spot. If I get so engorged that I'm leaking, I generally have to get up and do something about it. I can't sleep when I'm that full. Wish I could throw in some nursing pads and call it good.

I still do at 9 months pp. It's not b/c of leakage but because I feel like my boobs need the support since they are so much bigger. I hardly ever am braless anymore b/c it feels weird. I also don't like the feeling of my boobs resting on upper abdomen, so I still wear a sleep bra to bed.

I never wore a bra. I leaked on the bed all the time for the first few months, but I preferred changing sheets to sleeping in a bra.
pineapple / 12566 posts
I always wore a bra 24/7 while bf. I leaked so much the first 6/7 months that I HAD to wear the pads.

I always wore a sleeping bra to bed, even before getting pregnant... Even more so when breastfeeding.

I always wear a coobie or just a tank with a shelf bra. I need something so these things dont go tear up the town on their own, lol
grapefruit / 4291 posts
I wear a nursing tank to bed and I've never had issues with leaking unless I've slept funny and crimped my nipple in the night.
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22276 posts
Nope 10.5 months PP and I still have to wear a night nursing bra because I leak when I let down.
grapefruit / 4235 posts
Nope not me...and I def. have major letdown during night feelings so it would be super messy to go without.
nectarine / 2591 posts
At 3mth pp I have just stopped wearing a nursing tank to bed. I was getting the worst back pain from constantly wearing a bra. Now everything has a chance to relax a bit. I don't really leak anymore though.
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
Huh. Never worn one to bed either. No supply issues but I've never leaked. Sounds like people either do need them the whole time or never have.
honeydew / 7235 posts
I never wore a bra to bed except in the very beginning, like 2 weeks pp - but switched to a nursing cami. I leaked until about 2 months ago at 6 months pp. I *just* started sleeping in a nirmal tank or shirt a few weeks ago! I still nurse LO when he wakes first thing so whatever is easy access.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
Never wore a bra. In the very beginning, I'd wake up in a puddle of milk (thank goodness for mattress protectors!), but I'd rather change the sheets than wear a bra to bed!
bananas / 9973 posts
Nope, not yet at least! Always wear a nursing tank or bra. I always leak and soak through anything on the other side while feeding. I have to wear pads 24/7, which is annoying.
GOLD / grapefruit / 4007 posts
@shopaholic: I wear pads 24/7 too. Thank goodness I found some washable ones I like !
pomegranate / 3872 posts
I haven't worn a bra since the very beginning. I would change my shirt or nightgown if I leaked. Now that LO is consistently sleeping 8 hrs again I definitely have to feed her right away or I'd leak. My husband changes her and brings her to me. If I get up to feed her I leak. No more daytime leaking either! I still have lots of milk. LO is just about 5 months.

@coacheswife123: Ooh! What brand? I'm finally able to wear washables more often since the leaking isn't as bad. Had a terrible experience with one, got some free ones I like, and a pair of Bamboobies (love, but they show through).
GOLD / grapefruit / 4007 posts
@shopaholic: Charlie Banana brand ! I ordered off amazon ! They don't show through for me and are soft fleece ! I have leaked in mine and they did a good job !
papaya / 10560 posts
Not until like 6 or 7 months? I tried it for a while and didn't like it so I at least sleep in a yoga bra now. I like it a lot better than sleep nursing bras.
grapefruit / 4923 posts
i wear a nursing tank with shelf bra and nursing pads as my pj top every night (LO is almost 6 months). i'm not leaking that much, but sometimes i do and i'm already in the habit of wearing the protective stuff.
hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts
I always wore a cami tank with a shelf bra. It almost eliminated my constant blocked ducts, was comfy and offered some support and easy to pull down to nurse. I could also still wear bra pads.
squash / 13199 posts
@coacheswife123: In the beginning I Didnt even know about slleep bras so I would wear a tank top and then put the nursing pads in there. It worked fine sometimes but other times the pads would shift and I Would wake up in a pool of milk
honeydew / 7504 posts
@birdofafeather: Same here! I used to leak A TON, but now that my supply has kind of evened out, I still need one because I still get pretty engorged and feel very heavy by the morning. I sleep in a coobie bra.
