So today is the start of my cycle and I am using Fertility Friend to predict ovulation.
We have decided not to use BBT for now or OPK just yet.
Please help me get the lingo down.

I would say you're tracking your cycles. To me, charting is when you're actually taking and recording your temps.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: I'm not quite sure I understand the question. If this is your first month TTC, then this would be cycle 1. CD (cycle day) 1 starts the day you start your period, so if you started your period today then today would be CD1 of cycle 1. Hope that makes sense!

CD1 = Cycle day 1 = The first day that you are actively bleeding from AF, not just spotting! FF isn't the best at predicting ovulation based on actual period though - it needs OPK, CM signs, BBT or something to help figure it out. It will start to guess your average cycle length though!
