We took our hospital tour yesterday at the end of our birthing class and I started thinking about what I would want to wear during labor and delivery. I am curious how many people wear the hospital gown and how many people bring something of their own. I have no idea what is best/most comfortable/most practical and would love your views on this!

I'll probably just wear the gown because I don't want to mess up my clothes toooo much.

I'm definitely just going to wear what they provide. Delivery seems to be quite the mess and I don't want to mess my own stuff up.

I just wore the hospital gown. It was much easier for them to check how things were going down there and I didn't have to worry about messing up any of my clothes. Delivery is messy!

Our hospital required us to wear their gown.

No idea. I'm planning a home birth so I have plenty of options, but I'll probably end up in no more than a bra by the end! The birthday suit...the ultimate in convenience.

The hospital gown. I really didn't care. You won't wear anything under it, don't worry, they understand "all the grossness."

Hospital requires we wear their gown until after deliver. I may bring my own PJ's to wear afterwards.

I wore the hospital gown and a sports bra underneath because I hate going bra-less. I ended up wearing a gown the entire time I was in the hospital because I didn't want to mess up my own clothes.

Hospital gown. I thought about getting one of those Pretty Pushers gowns even before we were TTC, but it lost its appeal. LOL.

Sounds like the hospital gown is the winner here! I will probably bring something comfy to wear afterwards but gown sounds like the best option during L&D. Thanks, all!

I wore the hospital gown with a sports-style nursing bra, by the time I was pushing the gown was bunched up by my neck so I took it off.
After delivery, and a million stitches, I changed into my own pajamas. It felt so good to wear something pretty and my own.
