If it's breakfast or lunch I don't really do anything figuring they'll eat more later, but if it's dinner, I usually give Charlie a puree pouch and Olive gets some extra fruit.
What do you do when LO doesn't eat much?

She's still young enough where we still nurse before bed. But when we're past that I probably will offer a pouch as well.

Take her out and try again in 30 minutes. She usually always eats what she left. Or give her a pouch

Sometimes I will give them a yogurt popsicle, but most of the time they don't get any more food.

I don't worry about it. It's rare for her to not eat a good amount. So I just figure she's not that hungry.

I usually offer fruit or cereal, like Cheerios. I've been trying not to worry too much about it lately.

I don't stress about it - but I still nurse a lot. She's 20 months old. The amount of food that she eats varies hugely day to day.

I try not to worry about it. I know she will eat if she is hungry. It's hard, though.

Make sure she eats after she showers. For some reason she always is ready to eat then.

We just move on. Sometimes it means that they ask for a snack before bed.

Let him starve. For a while we offered him the same dinner right before bed. But then he wouldn't eat because he was having too much fun. So now he gets nothing. One shot to eat.

we went out to eat at a cookout tonight and DS had a few french fries, a slice of watermelon and a bite of a veggie burger. not much for dinner, but at the end all he wanted to do was throw it - the universal sign for "I'm done!". nothing I could really do about it.

I used to really stress about it (ok, I guess I still do) but the older he gets, the more I realize that he'll make up for it later. I do hate to send him to bed with an empty tummy. Sometimes I'll break down and give him a pediasure sidekicks if I'm really stressing about the amount of actual nutrition he took in that day.

With DD, we ask her to take one extra bite of everything on her plate. Last night she said she was done after just a few bites of fruit, but once she (finally) tried her pork, she ended up eating all of it and asking for a second helping! With DS, we just give him another cup of milk. He's usually a very good eater, so if he's not eating, it's usually a symptom that he doesn't feel well.

We offer her cereal before bed or a pouch. She usually drinks some milk, so I figure a bowl of milk and cheerios at least will help give her something in her belly.

If she won't eat a lot of dinner, I'll offer her fruit, yogurt, or Cheerios. If she doesn't want any of it, I just assume she's not hungry.
