I fed our daughter both. I supplemented with formula a lot when she was under 2 months old. Then I went exclusively to BM for a while, then towards the end of her first year I went back to supplementing with formula because my freezer stash ran out.

Breastmilk only. She never took a bottle and I was a SAHM until she was 15 months with a very good milk supply.
Had my circumstances been different, I am sure that I would have supplemented some.

He had formula the first week while my milk came in, then had breast milk for the majority of his first year when we slowly introduced almond milk during his 12th month.

Right now just formula. LO spent the first three weeks of her life screaming 5-7 hours per day while I BF around the clock and pumped and made LC visits. Then we realized she'd only gained 1 oz in two weeks and she was starving So we supplemented. I BF and supplementing until she was 2 months when I had to give up BF and EP. Then she still got milk and formula until 4 mo when I couldn't take pumping anymore and moved her to formula 100%.

Breastmilk for the first 4 months, formula until she turned 1 and WCM after that.

@oliviaoblivia: Ditto.
I hate pumping and only ever did it when I had a clogged duct, and I didn't want to spend money on formula, nor did I want the hassle of bottles, so breast milk it was!. Fortunately I had a great supply and never needed to supplement. DD1 weaned at 13 months and DD2 is still going strong at 11.5 months.

I probably should have said both, but I said formula.
L was 50/50 until 5 months, and then 100% formula then on
K was 50/50 until 8 weeks, and then 100% formula then on

Both. She was ebf for the first 2 months, but then she wasn't gaining enough and I started pumping after feeds to boost my Supply and supplementing with formula as well. Now at 9.5 months, she is mostly on bm and solids, with a little formula every once in awhile (particularly daycare days-- I send her in with half breastmilk half formula so they don't waste bm). Honestly it's been a lifesaver for my sanity as well as lo's health-- I stress so much about wasting breastmilk, so this way if I think she might be hungry but I'm not sure I give her formula-- I don't care about wasting it

Breast feeding didn't work out for us. She got some breast milk for a while but has been on formula exclusively for the majority of her life.

Supplemented w/formula for the first 3 weeks, then EBF until she quit nursing at age 2.

EBF until 12 months, then we moved to a combo of BF/WCM. We are in the process of weaning.

@oliviaoblivia: @Ree723: man I wish I had that option!! Haha. The day I tossed my pump was one of my happiest days after having my lo.

She was exclusively BM (pumped) for the first 10 weeks and then we switched to formula exclusively after that. No regrets, besides the amount of $$ we went on the expensive stuff ha.
I plan on trying to breastfeed again and if it doesn't work out formula it is. I despise the pump but will do it if it works when I go back to work and so I can have a life and DH can help.

I did a little of everything with both of my children.
With my first I exclusively nursed for the first three months. He went to daycare at 12 weeks and I had en ough of a freezer stash to continue breastmilk only for another month or so and then I supplemented and continued nursing until 10.5 months when I weaned him to all formula until one year.
With my second I nursed exclusively for 3 months with the occasional bottle of formula. When he started daycare at 12 weeks I had a very very small stash of breastmilk b/c I was so not into pumping on maternity leave this time and by 13 weeks I started supplementing with formula. He just turned 9 months and this week was his first full week of formula only.

Both from 5 days on. I had low supply. We switched from formula to WCM at 12 months and I continued BFing and still am at 15 months.
