If you breastfeed and feed your baby oatmeal, what do you mix in as your liquid? Do you use expressed breast milk, formula, water, or something else?

when she was an infant I used some breastmilk. but she only ate it once or twice, she was not a fan!
now as a toddler, I make it with water or milk, depending on what's handy. she loves it now.

I used breastmilk and mixed in a tiny bit of formula powder to add extra calories since he was having weight gain issues.

Breastmilk. I tried formula because DS didn't always finish his oatmeal (when breastmilk was still a hot commodity since every lil bit counted), but he wasn't a fan of formula.

I used breastmilk when she was little and use cow's milk now that she's a toddler.

I mix a tiny bit of hot water with breastmilk because I'm never ahead of the game enough to take the milk out of the fridge so it can come to room temperature, and she doesn't like cold oatmeal.

I just use water. I'm not pumping regularly and I'm mixing it really thick anyway.
I used to use fruit purees sometimes, too, but now I usually mix in chunks of fresh fruit instead.

Plain unflavoured yogurt, a little water to thin it out and a dash of cinnamon. It's yummy.

Breastmilk. Or if I didn't have any thawed milk I would just use water.

Thanks for the responses everyone. D is almost 9 months old and I am currently mixing oatmeal with expressed milk but I recently went back to work and I worry he isnt getting as much milk as he did when I was home. Im trying to decide if I should keep going with what I've been doing or start mixing his oatmeal with something else so he can have an extra bottle.
