Does it feel like a painful golfball in your boob? Or have I got something else going on? I noticed pain on that side yesterday, then today it felt painful like I was engorged, but wasn't. It hurt to nurse too.

For me, at the beginning, it feels like little marbles. If I don't get it unclogged by the end of the day, all the little marbles seem to merge together and form one hard solid plate that's super duper uber painful. Like I wanna curl up in a fetal position and cry mommy painful.
And I always feel full because all the milk is back logged. I can feel DS pulling at the clog sometimes, but he doesn't always get it unclogged. I find hand expressing to be a better solution for me.
Have you tried hot compresses and massaging while nursing?

a clogged duct will feel like a hard lump to the touch. if you breast hurts and there is a spot that feels like a bruise, but it doesn't feel hard to the touch, it might be an infection.

Oh no!
Mine felt like there were pieces of spaghetti stuck in the tissue of my arm pit getting yanked on. A dull pulling sensation. Like a pulled muscle, painful and then super painful when nursing.

@Alivoo01: @californiadreams: @SleepyMonkey: @yellowbird: @oliviaoblivia: It feels so painful, kind of like a bruise and running under the armpit. I have a fever (not bad one) and feel awful too and nursing is painful. It feels like there us a swollen area I think urgh. I'm thinking doctor tomorrow.

@travelgirl1: yeah. is there a hard lump? if yes, it sounds like a clogged duct that could turn into mastitis. warm compresses (use a clean sock with rice in it and microwave it) and massage while nursing and in the shower to help unclog it. good luck.

@travelgirl1: you have mastitis. Don't stop nursing on that side no matter how much it hurts! Use a hot compress & massage while you nurse & a cold compress for a few minutes when you're done & DEFINITELY see a doc!

@travelgirl1: Uh oh... I don't want to be a fear monger, but doctor is a probably a good idea. You don't want to mess around with mastitis.

@SleepyMonkey: @Mrs. Sunshine: @Sapphiresun: Thanks guys. Gonna for sure see a doctor in the morning and in the meantime get a shower and massage and feed my LO lots - which will please her no end. Bye bye nighttime weaning, lol.
Thanks for your help, everyone!

@travelgirl1: Oh no! Mastitis is the worst! Glad you're seeing a doctor in the morning, but in the meantime, try using a rice sock on the painful part of your boob - that was the only thing that ever gave me some relief and helped unclog the duct. The other thing was going on all fours and having DH massage the crap out of my boob to try and unclog it. It's very awkward and somewhat painful, but when it gets the clog out, it's so worth it.
Hope you start feeling better soon!

You poor thing!
Take your knuckles and roll the from your armpit to the clog. Always have your LO begin their nursing session on that side. Cup your boob above the clog and squeeze the heck out of it while nursing. It will hurt a lot. Make sure you don't have any blend on your nipple. Pump an extra time aced your LO goes to bed to make sure you are empty. It's harder to get a plug out with a punk but it will help.
