I was wondering what do you feed your one year old. I ran out of baby puree (i make and freeze).
Do you make table food for your LO or do you still feed them purees?

DS is 11 months and has been on table foods for a month or so. He still likes puree pouches for snacks or before meals while he is waiting on the food to be ready. He eats: eggs, waffles, bananas, melons, chicken, all kinds of veggies, etc.
I would just experiment with the food and see if your LO is ready Good luck!

We skipped right over purees so he's always eaten table food. Once or twice I think something has been too spicy for him (and frankly, too spicy for me), and I'll make him something different, like a quesadilla or pasta or something.

My LO is 17 months, but she's been eating table food since she was about 10/11 months.
Today for lunch she had spinach/potato patties with a quinoa & pea "mac & cheese."
She loves pasta, rice, breakfast sausage, broccoli, peas, corn, cheese, yogurt. I make a lot of different combos of veggie patties (broccoli & carrot or spinach & sweet potato) and freeze them. I make pesto from green veggies & hummus to add to her pasta. She basically eats what we eat.

At one, my LO had been on table food for several months. She ate everything (and still does); including fish, shellfish, etc.

She's been eating table foods since about 7 months old when she refused purées!

Lo is 11 months (almost) and has been eating mostly table foods since 8.5 months or so.

LO is 13 months and we skipped right over purees as well. LO refused to eat them and did very well with table food. He eats what we eat now.

LO is almost 13 months old. He's been eating table food for some time. This weekend, we did grilled cheese a couple of times and lots of fruits and veggies. He started with purees but has embraced table foods so much. When we go to restaurants, he eats what we eat. He didn't like the chili I did last night, but it was spicy even for DH and I, so it's not that big of a deal.

@mrsjazz: that quinoa mac and cheese sounds AMAZING... do you have a recipe?

@bunnylove08: I made it up on the spot. She doesn't like plain quinoa, I usually add tomato sauce but we were out. I added a little butter, cooked quinoa, and frozen peas to a pot with enough milk to help make things get wet and get the peas to thaw. Once the peas looked a bit cooked I added pepper, ground mustard, garlic powder, and a little basil and then added some sharp cheddar cheese and stirred. It was pretty good!

@mrsjazz: This sounds delicious!
My 15 mo old eats any and all of the following (not in purée form):
pancakes, banana, grapes, watermelon, plums, cantaloupe, apricot, nectarines, pears, raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, string cheese, avocado, eggs, chicken pesto pasta, pasta w/ chicken, black olives, and marinara sauce, hamburger, chicken apple sausage, bacon, meatloaf, turkey burgers, pizza, greek yogurt, BBQ chicken, goldfish (cheddar rockets from Trader Joe's), corn
I get lists of what he ate at daycare, and they include things like rice and fish, though I don't think he has eaten them on my watch.
I'm also scared to let him try peanut butter though we don't have any allergies here.
I'd like to get better at getting him to eat veggies in my presence, since I think he does also eat broccoli and other things at daycare. Whenever I try at home, he picks around them and then tosses them on the floor for our dog. Oops!
If has non-smoothie veggie ideas, would love to hear them!

Everything! Haha. She eats whatever ever I make but sometimes not enough so I'll give her a fruit/veggie pouch along with meals, or a cheese stick or yogurt.

LO is 11 1/2 months but has been eating table food since 8 months, we occasionally do pouches and still do applesauce, but she likes to feed herself and swats if you try to feed her with a spoon (Miss Indepentent!)

Still on puréed but probably up to 1/4 or 1/3 of the days food being table food which is more than the "tablefoods here and there" of even a week ago...she's not ready to give them up yet though. Also switching from formula to milk.

Miss A is eleven months and eats just about anything! We do some spoon foods (mainly fruit, custard etc) but has pretty much been eating table food from six or so months.

My LO stopped eating purees at 9 or 10 months.
She ate only table food.
Now, at 16 months, she generally eats what we eat. But she is VERY picky.

My LO stopped eating purees at around 10 months. The only spoon-fed food he typically eats is yogurt. He does also still like the fruit + veggie pouches, but he eats it directly from the pouch. He won't touch any sort of puree if it comes from a spoon. As for table foods, he basically eats whatever we eat. Some staple foods that are pretty much always a hit are: buttered multi-grain toast, whole wheat pancakes + waffles, scrambled eggs, cheese, steamed veggies, Cheerios, quesadillas, chicken, turkey, black beans, and lately his new favorite snack is veggie straws.

@pregnantbee: My LO loves broccoli with a little butter and parmesan cheese on it. We also mix broccoli into pasta with marinara sauce (one of her favorite dishes!). She'll also eat broccoli cooked up like a stirfry with soy sauce, brown rice, etc.
As for other veggie recommendations, have you tried grilled (or sauteed) sweet onions and mushrooms? Those are one of my LO's favorites as well, she will always eat mushrooms and onions. She also loves chunks of sweet potato with cinnamon/nutmeg on them, or just butter.

We did baby led weaning/purée combination. We mostly stopped purées around 10 months (except for those applesauce squeeze pouches). He eats nearly every table food we eat!
His favorites are meats (pork, chicken), beans, and certain veggies. Peas are his #1 food - he'd eat literally a cup at a time! He also likes carrots, zucchini, and things that are sautéed like mushrooms or bell peppers. He isn't too jazzed about fresh fruits though :(. It's our hurdle.

@yoursilverlining: Late, but wanted to thank you for the suggestions I forgot that he does eat mushrooms and tomatoes if cooked in an omelette. I may try stir fried broccoli, etc. and see what happens. Thanks!
