Could someone explain it to me. I've seen many of you post about it but I'm confused by it; giving 6 month olds completely solid food, without pureeing it?

The simple explanation is that it's no purees. You start with table food and they learn to eat on their own. You never put food into their mouths for them. Here's a lot more info:

pretty much. you just give your LO small pieces of soft food to eat. or larger chunks of something s/he can gnaw on.
