just looking at a little one has made me all squishy for the last two years. I'm so ready!

Really the only thing that has given me the fever is seeing my toddler with new little babies. She held my friends 3 week old the other day and I got so excited for her to have a little sister. Heart exploded (uterus did just fine as its full of 34 week baby).
Other than that, I see newborns and remember how much work they are and how little they give back for the first so many months. My toddler is more fun (and more of a pain in the butt, in the nicest way possible).

Talking about what my daughter will be like as a big sister someday (she's only 10 weeks). Reminiscing about my own childhood. Talking about all of the things we want to do as a family. Basically all things sibling related.

I never really had baby fever for my first two, I mostly just wanted kids/a family. But my five week old has been amazing in the newborn stage (and now because I wrote that he's gonna change!) and I tell dh he is the kind of baby that makes women want to have all the babies! (Eta, but I'm done!)

@LindsayLou: do you ever feel bad for your future second baby that you only get excited for them in the context of your first? My second will be here in a matter of weeks and still I only really get excited about her when I think of seeing the girls together. In sure that will change once she is here and I actually know her...

newborn snuggles, when they just know to find that special spot on your lower shoulder....gahhh my uterus can't handle it. And then I find my 3 year old screaming about her not finding her special socks and my 8 month old trying to eat anything on the floor....and well I usually snap out of it! haha

@Cherrybee: I agree! We are one and done (DS isnt even here yet) but I keep thinking about those tiny clothes that will never be used again

My friend has a newborn, and I have like 3 friends that are giving birth between now and next May so I'm gonna have major fever!

@Foodnerd81: Yes, I do feel a bit guilty about that. I feel like I should want any future babies as much as I wanted my daughter, and just for their own sake. It's hard to separate my desire for her to have a sibling from my desire to have another baby. I'm sure it will be different when that hypothetical baby is in my arms.
I also feel guilty that my next baby won't have the full, undivided attention that she has. But I try to remind myself of how much fun my brothers and I had as kids, and how much I doted on them as babies (they are 2.5 and 5 years younger than I am).
