I need to be quicker on my reflexes now that he's cruising! The crazy voice in my head is worried about serious illness from this.
What gross things have your kids eaten? Maybe it will make me feel better, haha 
Gross for a different reason: Last week LO ate scrambled eggs and applesauce.... He will eat anything combined with applesauce!

She ate crumbs off the living room floor. No idea how long they were there and it's possible that they were cat food crumbs. And this is just me, but girlfriend can put away pickles like nobody's business which grosses me out as a pickle hater.

Baby first tried Cheerios that her big sister had dropped to the floor a day before. And the amount of my hair and carpet fuzz they have both eaten is disgusting. My 3 year old tried to eat... something... out of the basket of the stroller but I caught her in time. Literally no idea what it was.

DS1 drank a half a cup of week old milk that he found in the car. Somehow he did not get sick. My niece ate poop out of the litter box. Not kidding. Litter pebbles and all.

LO2 ate a bug. Just picked it up off the ground and swallowed it while LO1 and I watched. It happened so fast we couldn't do anything to stop it.

My sister used to suck the legs off of bugs when she was a baby- not once, but it was a constant issue. I used to eat sand by the handful....

Not my kid, but today at the park one of the other moms caught her kid picking up a dead squirrel and about to put it in his mouth!!! I would have lost it!

Cat poop. I gagged so hard scraping it out of Evan's mouth. I still can't figure out how he got to it. Grace hasn't eaten anything bad yet, but she's pretty desperately beelines for the cat food whenever she's in the kitchen. She'll put anything in her mouth, though.

Cat food kibble. I scooped it out and she cried so much. Won't eat something regular and delicious-freaks out when you take away something gross. She has also eaten a handful of dirt and sand. Sand grosses me out. She eats toys dipped in sand too.

Some of these make me feel not so bad that I'll actually admit it. 
(although I'm totally blaming DH for this one).
DH was watching DS on the porch while talking to a friend, and brought him inside b/c he had something in his mouth (he thought it was a rock). Turns out it was the GUTS of a dead mouse (our cat likes to show off her skills and bring them to the porch). Soooo gross. It was hard so basically 'dried' which is a little better than if it had been fresh, I think.
My cousin said her little guy had gotten toilet paper out of the toilet (young girls in the house that don't always flush) and into his mouth before she could stop him.

She bites her toenails. It is so gross and I stop her when I see her, but she manages to find a way to do it somehow because I never have to trim the nails on one foot (apparently the right foot tastes better than the left because she leaves those toes alone).

My 13 month old ate a piece of lizard poop from our back patio (we live in South FL, lots of lizards). I managed to fish most of it out of his mouth but uggghhh. Sooooo gross. He's also eaten a number of bugs.

When my son was 9-months old, we were at the park sitting in the grass. I looked down at him chewing on something, which I assumed was grass. Nope. Cigarette butt.
My sister's friend's 2-year old ate gum she found on the airport floor. And another friend's kid found and ate a mystery pill! Scary.

What has the kid not eaten... Old gum he found under the seat in the airport waiting area, some guys coffee he snatched off a park bench, a cigarette butt, and yesterday he put a wipe he found behind the trash can at the park in his mouth after "wiping his nose" with it, it was dirty with something... I decided I didn't want to know what and just threw it out. I am sure there it more...

We have those cast iron railings on our front steps and our LO for some reason likes to lick them. Idk if she needs more iron in her diet or what!
These poop stories are making me realize we dodged a bullet when I caught her mushing dog poop in her hand that she'd found in the front hard.

Tan bark or dirt from the playground. And he went through a phase where he'd lick shopping cart handles, ewwww.
