Praying yours is normal! I know many have this with subchronic hemmorage and many other things that can still mean a healthy pregnancy.

I had a very good amount of bright red bleeding with both pregnancies and I now have two babies, don't lose hope!

@travelgirl1: I had post-sex, post-#2 blood with LO! Tapering is a good thing.
If you do start cramping, though, I would call or go in.

@Mrs. Jump Rope: I'm 8 weeks tomorrow. I had an ultrasound at 6weeks 3 days and everything was fine and there was a heartbeat, but they wanted to do another one a few weeks later to make sure everything progressed, as they prefer to do ultrasounds at 7 weeks. I will email the nurse in the morning, hopefully they will bring my ultrasound forward (it's Tuesday). I think the best thing I can try do for myself tonight is rest, and see what the morning brings. It had turned brown but all this anxiety has given me a nervous tummy and it was red again when I wiped after the bathroom Thanks so much for sharing your experience!

Thinking of you. I had some bleeding episodes during my pregnancy with Lorelei, and some were red blood. I basically spent 2/3 of the pregnancy convinced I was going to lose her. I would call the after-hours line. I know it's scary, but hopefully that's all it is.

@travelgirl1: So sorry you're going through this. I had a gush of red blood right around 6 weeks, after going to the bathroom. Since I hadn't been seen by an OB yet, I ended up going to the emergency room the next day (it was a holiday weekend, I think). I just knew I would make myself sick with worry. They did an ultrasound, saw the heartbeat, and I was diagnosed with SCH. I had some light brown spotting on and off after that, but the SCH resolved itself and here I am at 25 weeks, keeping my fingers crossed that there are no other issues with this pregnancy.
It is really scary, and I'm wishing you the best!

@travelgirl1: so sorry you're going through this. I know what a scary time this can be. The odds are in your favor since you've seen a heartbeat though, right? Praying everything turns out ok.

Thanks everyone. I have an ultrasound at 9.30, I feel so sick I can barely talk. And LO is hysterically crying because I had to leave her with her dad for 5 mins to go it the bathroom. Poor thing. She must know something is wrong.

Thinking of you! I've been through 2 mc's and with this LO I had red blood at 16 weeks. With my history I was terrified!! Everything turned out to be fine & they couldn't even explain the bleeding. Hang in there

@travelgirl1: Thinking of you! I had a LOT of red spotting when I was pregnant with B during the 1st trimester. It ended up being fine, I just had a sensitive cervix. fingers crossed everything is fine with you and the baby. Big hugs

Hugs..... if it stops then I think you have 50/50 chance..... Did you go to the doctor??
I also saw red when I was 6-7 weeks pregnant. It came and go. I really thought I miscarried, and they couldn't find the heart beat. They were gonna schedule me for a D/C... but then they saw my HCG levels go up and wanted to wait. I continued to see some blood and freaked out the entire week (especially when husband was traveling that week, great timing). But the 8th week they found the heartbeat, and that was that ... I carried to 39 weeks and now my son is healthy and happy. So best wishes to you.

@travelgirl1: My SIL (who had a previous MC) was SURE she was miscarrying once. She went to the ER and they assumed she was as well.
Her doctor encouraged her to wait a week and see what happened, and sure enough, the baby was fine.
I agree that you probably have a 50/50 chance. But I'd call your nurses line and ask if someone can see you soon just to help ease your worries.
