My goal was 1 year but now that we're past that - it's whenever. Preferably before 2.

Baby hasn't arrived yet but I want to EBF until 7 months when I go back to work. I won't really be able to pump at work because I travel between schools. I really don't know what to do after that! Anyone have suggestions? I'd love to keep BF morning and night, and will only be work 3 days a week, so what would you do? I think I need to read some books on BF.

Hooray for all your breast feeding mamas. Our goal is to exclusively BF for a year or more. Even though people like to throw judgements, I could see my BFing until baby is 2.

No idea...Lo is 8.5 months old and still nursing 6-7x a day! I don't want to be nursing that much after he turns 1...but I'd be okay with keeping a morning session and our bedtime session maybe til he's 18 months? I want some time to have my body to myself in between weaning and getting pregnant with #2.

My goal is to let Lorelei self-wean like Ellie did. It would be awesome if I got in my decade! But obviously I am not tied to that as a goal. I would be fine with whenever she decides to stop at this point (she is fifteen months), but I admit that it will be bittersweet since she is my last baby.

My goal is to EBF until one year. After that I'm fine with her nursing in the morning and at night, but I'll be back at work and not interested in pumping, so she can do cow's milk through the day. I honestly can't wait to get my freedom back. I've come to accept the fact that nursing isn't something I enjoy, it's something I'm doing for DD, but I don't plan to extend it much longer than a year.

EBF to a year is my goal! 7 months & going strong. After that will be tapering off in hopes of TTC #2.

@hergreenapples: if it helps at all, nursing actually can be fun when Baby gets older, there's just something cool about a smiling baby at the breast or their excitement when they realise you're whipping out a boob!!
My plan is to keep nursing as long as Miss A wants to although I think we're looking at TTC in early 2014 when A is about fifteen months old so I guess we'll have to see when we get there.
After such a rough few months when we first started I'm really enjoying breastfeeding

Goal for dd is to wean her soon
Will probably go at least 18-24 months with DS. Just gonna go with the flow.

my goal was 12 months, then let LO self wean. then I got pg again and supply went bah-bye. goal with #2 is the same. will be more vigilant with BC before 12 months this time

I am trying to take it in small chunks. Right now I am enjoying it and LO is thriving. I'll be really happy once we hit 3 months, which is in 12 days. Next I'll be shooting for 6 months, with an ultimate goal of 12 months, and maybe beyond, we'll see once we get there

My goal has always been at least a year. Now were getting closer on some days I feel like I can't wait to be done and other days I just love how sweet and cozy she can be (when she's not treating me as her jungle gym lol) so we will see when we get there in a month and a half.

My goal is a year. At a year, I will probably stop pumping and use my frozen stash. And probably continue 1 or 2 nursing sessions until he's done.

My goal is a year and we are at 8 months, but with my nursaholic lo we will probably go past that. I wouldn't mind a few sessions a day after a year, but def not her typical 8-10!!

My goal was EBF for 1 year and today is LO's birthday! We both love it so no end in sight. I didn't kind of put the pump away as I have been pumping in middle of the night for the past year but have only been getting 2 oz lately. I am a WAHM/WOHM (1 day of week out of home) so may have to introduce something else for the 1 day I leave home since my frozen stash won't last longer than 3 weeks (sad about this!)

My goal is one year and then see how we both feel. I am hoping to be doing mostly solids by then, but we won't be doing cow's milk so if A is still wanting to nurse 1 or 2 times a day I'll be okay with that. I definitely plan to pump so others can feed him, too, but I haven't been very regimented about it yet.

My goal is 1 year, but I'm nervous to go back at 12 weeks and pump. I barely get anything when I pump so I hope I can keep my supply up!

I dunno. My original goal was 6 months but my work schedule will make it much harder than I anticipated to pump. Right now I hope to make it til 16 weeks when I go back to work and then we will see. I have no issues with formula.

my goal at this point is to get to a year, but i'll be content if we make it to 9 months (we're at 6 months now). if LO wants to go past 1 year that would be fine, but i have a feeling he's going to kick it to the curb once as he can be mostly on solids.

I'm trying to be realistic, so my initial goal is 6 weeks. After that will be 6 months, then a year. I have no intention of going past a year and since I have to work, if I truly hate pumping or BF'ing, I am not against using formula.

My original goal was at least a year and I would be happy to continue on past that so long as we both desired. I thought I'd be able to stop pumping at a year but with his MSPI I am still pumping 3x a day so that he gets milk while I am at work. I am planning on letting him self wean which I don't think will be anytime soon - at 12mo he still nurses 6ish times when we are together and at least one of those is overnight.
