I'm a SAHM, but plan to return to work sometime in the next year. We plan to utilize a nanny until she's old enough for preschool.

My mom watches DS. On my WFH days she watches him at her house and on my office days she watches him at my house. We live within 5 miles of each other!

I'm a FT WOH/WAH mum.
E is 8 months old now. She goes to her grandparents' Monday-Wednesday and is in a daycare centre Thursday and Friday.

Well... This is a loaded question. When I was employed she was in daycare 4 days a week and IL s watched her 1day. But then MIL got cancer and I'm laid off. So starting next week she'll be going Tuesday and Thursday only and home with me the rest.

Mine will be a mix. I work at home and have an agreement with my boss (on a trial basis to see how it goes) to do a daycare center 3 days per week and keep the baby home with me the other 2 days. If I'm not getting an acceptable amount of work done with that arrangement then she will be in daycare 5 days per week.

I'm a SAHM, but can I be honest? I'd rather be working at least part-time. It just wasn't an option for us because once you leveled out the cost of childcare plus my commute with how much I make, we would have been losing money, which wasn't acceptable since it wasn't the job I planned on staying at forever, so it wasn't going to be worth it in the long run or anything like that. Some days I'm pretty sure my LO is soooo bored with me, but soon I'm going back to school to finish my degree (I'm about halfway done), and then he'll be in daycare or something like that for at least a couple of days a week. I can't wait, I so need the intellectual stimulation and other adults to talk to!

DD spends the day with a dear friend (hi Travelgirl!) and her little girl.

@lovehoneybee: wait, how do you watch your child and work at the same time if you are a WAH parent?

@mediagirl: I don't think I could do it with my toddler, but I guess if you were able to work during nap times or had an easy, independent kid you could work while also being at home?

SAHM. But he starts part time in two weeks while I look for a job then he will go to full time. I'm sort of sad about it

Nanny from 5-8 months. Nanny share from 8 months to present. We wanted daycare but had to look for alternatives when we moved to a new neighborhood with no slots for infants anywhere. I live that LO has bonded with her nanny and her nanny share friend. They are like sisters.

I have been a SAHM for the past 3 years.
@mediagirl: Young House Love comes to mind for being WAHP. It's going to be even more difficult with two kids.

In-home daycare since M was 6 months, little sister will be joining her in a couple weeks.

I voted for 3! DS goes to daycare. In a few weeks I'm going to start WAH again, but only part time in the beginning, so I will have a part time nanny in the morning and take care of DD in the afternoon.

Two older LO's go to school and then to after school care for about 3 hours at a daycare. The baby stays with DH is he's off during the week or goes to my inlaws.

DS goes to an in-home Montessori. They're licensed and registered with the state.

@MrsTiz: that's so cool! I love the IG photos of him at work with you. Can he still come along when he's older?
We have J in part time daycare. The schedule varies, but mostly 2-5:15 three days a week when DH is working. We're very grateful for our flexible daycare!

I work PT (2 days / week). M goes to a babysitter's house on those days. Our sitter is a SAHM with three school-aged kids so she has M on her own in the mornings and then they all play together in the afternoon.

@rachiecakes: Yep! He can be here as long as I want him with the only rule being that once he becomes a distraction to everyone else, he's gotta go. So if coworkers have a 3 y/o banging on their door when they're on a phone call, that's probably not OK but until then, he's good and everyone loves having him here, he gets plennnnty of attention

I just went back last week PT (DS is almost 3 months). I'll be working Thursday evenings and Saturdays so DH will watch DS. This week DH is working a double Thursday so MIL will be watching DS. Fingers crossed it goes well incase we need her help again!

@MrsTiz: that is so cool!
DS can get dropped off the last hour or so if DH has to work and he's at that distraction age, haha

@LMOG47: Must have missed you in the past - my DH stays home too and I'm always looking for more mamas with a SAH hubby

@mediagirl: i own my own business, so I WAH without outside help. there is NO way i could work for someone else watching a toddler at home, but i really reserve hours for regular working hours and basically work PT and on saturdays.

I voted other: I work part time, DH works full time, we have alternating schedules so when one of us is working, the other is home with the baby.
