What stands out to you? I'm filling out a survey and they asked "What else can we do to improve the quality of care and service?" So, I'm looking to see what others like about their facility!

DS is 2 and I love how much free play time they have vs curriculum, how much outdoor time they have and how affectionate and loving they are with the children. I also love that they turn the lights off for nap (DS sleeps so much better!) and that they don’t wear shoes inside (better for foot development) I know those 2 are random, but they are things I really like! Hes been at 3 places and I like the one he’s at now best

The loving bond all the teachers and director have with the kids. Not sure you could put that on a survey though.

All the teachers and staff of all the different classrooms know ALL the kids so we get to know everyone instead of just our class. Lots of outdoor play and encouraging independence. Their cook is great and I’m happy with the variety of meals in that they don’t focus on just kid friendly junky foods.

My daughter is currently in a class they've named Preschool Option - where they help potty train all of our kids. Can you imagine?! It's one thing to potty train your own child, but 12 others as well?! These teachers are freaking saints!! I love them for it.

LO is in part time preschool, not daycare, but when we arrive in the morning almost all of the teachers greet him by name. I love it!

How much they go outside and value the connection to the natural world is number one. Its a priority in everything that they do.
Also, the fact that every single teacher clearly values play (its completely play based) and respectful interactions with kids (no shaming, no behavior charts, etc.)

I love the super low turn over. The teachers have mostly all worked there for years. At our last daycare teachers would stay for a few months and they were always getting shuffled around to different rooms. It’s so much more consistent where we are now. The only teacher that’s left in the two + years we’ve been going was because she wants toddler room experience and there wasn’t an opening.

I like that my son's teacher has a bachelor's in early childhood education.

That they staff based on need. I just give them the hours and days I want to bring DD in a month at a time. It’s awesome since I’m a self employed photographer and travel fairly often. Its rare that I’m paying for days I don’t need and I can put her in more hours during my busy months.
Also the teachers are mostly the same 3 years in. Her morning teachers are the same two gals as her first fall at 5 months and now she’s nearly 3.

All of the teachers and staff know my son and greet him by name, even the ones who are not and have never been his teachers. Less tangibly, the fact that he loves going.
