I usually pack a bento and 2 sippy cups. The infant room didn't require a box or bag but LO needs one for the young toddler room.

I just bought a bento box! DS is 11 months old and still in the infant room but I was sending 4-5 different containers of finger food. Its so nice to be able to send it all in one box.

@KT326: Ours daycare wants the bento and cup to fit into the bag/box.

We send DD to preschool with this one from PBK (well, her pattern is discontinued now, but it's the same bag... the one on the right, with the dome-shaped top):
It holds up so well I think it will last DD for the next few years into elementary school! And it's roomy... In addition to the main compartment, you can put a thermos or sippy cup in the dome part (there's elastic to keep it in place).

When DD was in daycare, we used an LL Bean lunchbox (similar to the one used by @sahmo811). Once we got to school, we had to separate the food into separate hot and cold bins in the communal fridge (they weren't left in the lunchboxes).

for our 20 month old we send a yumbox (which I learned about on HB!) which fits perfectly inside our skip hop ladybug lunch bag. not much extra room but I can fit in silverware and something else small in the inside pocket. they provide sippies at our daycare so don't have to worry about that. I mostly just love the cuteness factor on the bag
