It's been a little over a month since we started solids. How much do you give your LOs if you are doing purees?
We do about 50g (nearly 2 oz) at lunch and about 25g (nearly 1oz) in the evening. I'm wondering if we are doing too little, too much?

Zero! P didn't want anything to do with food until around 9.5-10 months. She still doesn't eat much on most days.

My DD is 7 months and we do 2oz for lunch and 2oz for dinner. But she doesn't always finish it all and most of it ends up on her face or on the floor.

At 6 months not so much. I was lucky if i could get 1 oz at breakfast! She had a bit more at lunch and dinner, around 2 oz. She really started wanting more around 7 months...at dinner she would have about 1/2-1 cup worth of puree!

Same with @runsyellowlites. My LO wasn't interested at 6 months, we tried a little but she wasn't into it at all. Plus she was sick and we went on vacation out of town for a month after. Now at 9 months, I've just started to really feed her. I'm starting with finishing up all the purees I bought when she turned 6 mo plus fresh fruits and veggies.
I go by with how big her fists are in portions, but for dinner I usually mix leftover puree with a gröt (kind of a baby porridge) and the portion is more, that's IF she eats all of it. Last night she hardly ate her porridge, but ate her roasted carrots.

Barely any...maybe 1 ounce a day?! She wasn't really interested until she was 7 months.

J ate about the same amount as your LO, his was more for fun and practice than nutrition. He started eating for nutrition around 8 months. I hope that helps! Good luck!,

Mine eats about an oz...he is a tiny baby--6 months and only 14 lb 8 oz.

At 6 months he was eating 2oz of some puree each day and over month 7, we slowly starting adding another meal of 1-2oz. Now at 8.5 months he is eating about 3oz for breakfast, some puffs for lunch, and 4oz for dinner. We basically added a couple tablespoons each week to slowly build him up but rely on his cues when he's full (sour face, he turns head away very quickly).

LO just turned 7 mos and was probably eating 2-3 oz, three times a day from about 6 mos. We started feeding him solids at 4.5 months though, per our pediatrician's recommendation. LO is very into food, so he took to it quickly.

We just started maybe three weeks ago so DD eats a morning and evening meal. right now in the morning she will eat 1-2T of oatmeal or rice cereal mixed with .5oz of banana and Breastmilk. In the evening she will have 1oz of a veggie mixed with breastmilk and the leftover .5 oz of banana. She sometimes finishes sometimes doesn't.

My LO is only 5 months and a week, but she just started solids this week. Our ped told us (as recently as last week) to wait until 6m, but she was seriously ready.
My estimate is that right now (today is day #4) she'll eat 1-1.5 oz. The first night was bananas mixed with oatmeal (+breastmilk), second night was peas + breastmilk, last night was just oatmeal + breastmilk. She HOUSES it.
I'm kind of afraid to tell my ped I started against her recommendation! Feel like I'm going to get in 'trouble', lol!

Not very much. My LO hated to sit down and eat so I didn't force him. He would nibble on a little fruit during the day and snack on puffs. Around 9 months I started getting into more of a routine of eating little meals throughout the day.

My LO is just now starting to show some interest at 7.5 months! He still only wants about an ounce at a time, 2-3 times a day.

We did solids slowly so we started with one ~2 oz serving at dinner, then added a second solid at lunch at 7 months, then a third at 8 months. It seems like kids vary widely in their interest in solids so if it seems like your LO is happy and weight gain is ok, then your plan is probably working for you!
