We aren't quite there yet with DD2, but with us planning on moving within the next year or two we have started to discuss the furniture we will need to buy. This includes a bed for DD2 as she's in a crib now. What size of bed did you start your toddler out in? We did a twin with DD1 but then a few months later moved her to a full, it was necessary! I think we will start DD2 out with a full right away so it will just grow with her.

She's in a twin because we got a solid wood "antique" twin frame from a friend. Not sure what we are going to do when DD2 is ready. I'd rather get a trundle or full so there is room for sleepovers and when family comes visit.

She's in a twin, but we have a full frame we got at a garage sale for when DD2 needs a big girl bed (many years from now).

We co-sleep with our 16 mo old, but when we have to transition her in the future when we have #2 she will go straight to a twin.

Queen but that is because we had my old mattress from when I was single still.

Queen - we upgraded to a King and didn't know what to do with our mattress, so we gave it to her!

She's in a crib now but we will move straight to a twin bed.

Twin. And that's probably as big as he's going to get. I had a twin all through high school and only got a bigger bed when I moved into my own apartment.

Seeing all of these kiddos in twin beds makes me feel bad that I still have mine in toddler beds. We were able to take the front rail off of their cribs, and it works just fine. Is there a reason I shouldn't do this? We don't have the room for two twins right now because they still love being in the same room.

We tried a twin, but we ultimately went with a full. If I can, I will get a trundle in there as well!

Twin bed for LO1. LO2 is still in his crib and will transition to using it with the toddler rail. I plan on also getting him a twin bed when he is ready.

L is in a Queen right now, and I'm about to move K out of her crib, and the girls will share the Queen.

We converted his crib to the toddler bed first. That last 4 days. He hated it and refused to sleep in it.
Next was a twin, platform bed, very close to the floor. He was in that for 9 months before we moved him to a new room and he's now in a queen. -

I got a hand me down toddler bed from my boss...so we went into that.
We have a used Full frame in the basement that I think will be her next step. DD2 will either stay in the crib (converted) or go into the toddler bed. I think our girls will ultimately be in queens when we are ready to buy them real bedroom sets...

She is in a full. I choose the one we have because it can adjust to different heights. She has only fallen out of bed once so I think we may be ready to raise it one.

Converted her crib to toddler bed for 6/7 months until DH built her a twin day bed. Now the baby uses the crib again.

Miss A is in a king single which I guess is equivalent to a full?

Queen, but because we already had the mattress. If we hadn't, we would have done a twin. Though after I typed that, I realized he moves around so much still, maybe a full would be better!

DD has a twin because we already had my bedframe and headboard from when I was little. If I had to buy her a new bed, I would probably spring for a full so I would fit in there better when I cuddle her.
