I was getting bored with our regular lineup so started singing lovey show tune songs. .last night it was josh groban.

If I'm lucky I can get in Twinkle Twinkle once before she falls asleep lol! I have a whole cd of sweet melodies but she gets cranky too fast to give it a chance!

I'm a big fan of show tunes, it's pretty much all I know and all I sing.
-My go to song is always Everything is Rosie from Bye Bye Birdie- I've song it to her since she was in my belly and I knew she was a girl since it has her name in it.
-Moonshine Lulliby from Annie Get your Gun, even though hubby hates it because because it talks about moonshine, but she doesn't know what that means.
-Can't help loving that man of mine from Show Boat, hubby hates this one too because it doesn't say good things about men. But it's always been a favorite of mine. -
We did the 12 days of Christmas for a while. I usually just chat with LO until she falls asleep or read a story. DH on the other hand prefers Stu's Lullaby from The Hangover. He's also a huge fan of Broadway so I am surprised he hasn't tried that yet.

We don't sing, maybe we should try something, because LO needs his musical gloworm to fall asleep and he seems to be playing it for longer and longer.

@looch: My LO also loves the gloworm.... but she's not old enough to push the button herself so I always have to do it. Over and over and over.

@artbee: you know, it was a gift from my mom and I was kind of like "what a silly toy, my son won't like that." I eat my words at every nap and bedtime!

We do a couple of silly YouTube songs...
One is called I like Elephants by Eric Herman
and the other is Phonics 2 by KidsTV123. We also do The Sound of Music songs and Blackbird by the Beatles and a few songs from Gymboree and Music Together. -

We also sing I Will by the Beatles, a couple Simon & Garfunkle songs, a couple Garth Brooks songs, and a few silly songs I sang years ago at girl scout camp.

Baby's been on a lion king kick the last few nights, She watches it Circle of Life on youtube while I put on her layers of PJs so she'll stop squiggling for a minute. I sing and she squeaks along.

@chopsuey119: OMG that's almost our exact lineup!!! We do God is so good, Jesus loves me, then a song we made up when he was born called "big boy baby".
