How old is your little one and what type of milk do they drink on a daily basis?
LO just turned 2 and drinks whole milk (cow).

@MamaG: we're transitioning to whole milk now. She'll be 1 in a week and a half. I still nurse her morning and night!

From 1 to 2 we gave C whole milk. Once he turned 2, we switched to 2%.

We just saw our Pediatrician yesterday and I told her DS gets 1% milk, because he is 29 pounds!!!! and only 18 months old. She told me that he needs whole milk until 2, because it has good fat for brain development. At 2 they go down to 2% and when DD turned three she said DD could have 1%.
So now DS gets whole milk and DD gets skim or 1% depending on what was bought that week.

LO is 16 months and she drinks 5oz of whole milk twice a day. On the weekends? Hardly ever.

2.5 years and 1% milk. From ages 1-2 he drank whole milk.

my son is 32 months, he still gets whole cows milk, with vegetarian DHA.

17 months and she drinks almond milk in her sippy with meals.

@MamaBehr: We saw the peditrician yesterday for a 2 year appointment, LO is 39 pounds (she's always been a big girl). The dr recommended we switch to skim. I was worried about brain development and was apprehensive to change.
She will get 2% often when we are at a restaurant (that's typically what they serve).

2 years old and he gets 2% which is what we drink when he wants milk or at school. He also gets almond milk or coconut milk when we have that. I personally hate milk so I drink a lot of almond milk. BUT he mostly only wants water and gets upset if we give him anything else.

When LO turned 2 we switched her to organic skim cow's milk.

20 months- pumped breast milk and whole milk
