Or what time do you attempt? DH and I were just discussing this. How do you know when bedtime is?

LO is 18 months and since she was 4 months old, she's had a bedtime of about 5:30-6pm.

Bath is at 7, then bottle and bed! He's usually asleep by 7:30. And he's 18 weeks old.

1 year old, we start bath at 7 (it use to be six, but this helps him sleep later)
3 year old we start bath at 7:30 but sometimes she doesn't fall asleep until almost nine (ugh!)

Until tonight, whenever the heck she stops crying and goes to sleep : ) But tonight, 6pm!!!!! She's 13 weeks

We start her bedtime routine (bath, massage, boob, bed) at 7pm and then it's basically whenever she falls asleep! She's 20 weeks.

7:00 for both the 3.5 year old and the 1 year old. For us, we just decided on a time and developed a daily routine that functioned around it. We normally have wakeup around 7-7:30 am and naps from 12:15-3:00 (on a good day) and then bed around 7. Works for us!

Over the last year bedtime has been pushed back & is now 8 for G, who is 8, & 8:30/8:45 for P. It was earlier but DH doesn't get home until 7:15/7:30 & having dinner all together has taken precedence over an early bedtime. Also, DH's time with P is bathtime so if she went to be earlier he'd basically never get to see her. Since G is homeschooled & I WAH we don't have an early wake time in the morning so our semi-late bedtime works.

@runsyellowlites: My husband doesn't get home til late either, so I was curious about this. We will probably end up having a later bedtime too.

Around 8. It used to be 7 but this works better for us in terms of evening routine and not having to get up quite so early in the morning.

2.5h after he wakes up from his last nap...these days that is 9:15ish. I love it because he wakes up at 9am as well...takes 3 naps and is 18w old.

We start around 9:15 usually and typically have her down around 10p. I've tried to get her down earlier but her eyes pop open like 10 minutes after I get her in the crib. I'm hoping her bedtime will naturally move up as she gets older. She used to not go to bed before midnight!
But she is 10 weeks old, sleeps 10p-5a, Then goes down again until around 8am, so I'm not going to complain about that...

We start routine at 5:15-ish... bedtime is usually around 6. We are contemplating pushing it back because LO is a horrible sleeper and maybe she will sleep longer if she goes to bed later? She's phased out her late afternoon nap so she's usually pretty tired by 5:30... she is 6 months old.

bath time starts at 7:30, bottle at 8, in bed by 8:15/8:30. DS is 6.5 months old.

7 pm for my 6 month old since a little after 5 months. Before that, he was going to sleep around 930 pm or so and bedtime was SUCH a hassle with him being so fussy trying to get him to go down. Once I moved it up and started a strong bedtime routine, he goes down awake in his crib and is asleep within a minute or two, usually without a peep. SO lovely to have our evenings back!

when he was a nb his bedtime was around 10pm...
month 2-3 his magic bedtime was 830-9pm...

9:30, and he's 6 months. It works best with our schedule for now.

We've gone a bit off schedule lately, but bathtime is usually 7:30ish depending on when we finish dinner. He has his last bottle of the day after bathtime, and we aim for an 8:30 bedtime. Most nights, he's fast asleep by 9pm....and will sleep through the night to 8am.

Between 9 and 10pm. Then I'm in bed between 10 and 11 and we all wake up around 6:30-7am. I'm perfectly content because he sleeps straight for 9 hours with no night wakings since 8 weeks (he is 13 weeks now). He also has a short nap in evening which I like. There are exceptions of course to this "schedule "

17 months, 8pm-ish. We follow her cues, which are eye rubbing, yawning, etc. Lately I can ask her if she's sleepy, and she'll nod, say 'baboo map' (nursing/nap) and then go lay down on her bed. It is awesome.

Same as above post...between 9-10pm and she's 8 weeks. We've tried earlier, around 7-8pm but she always wakes for another feed in 2-3 hours anyway. But my LO does not do nine hours straight like Purpleunicorn! Holy cow that sounds awesome. If we put her down at 10pm, she will wake around 3-4am and again around 6-7am.

9 pm and she's almost 5 months. I know that's later than most but I am a SAHM and I don't think I could get a longer stretch than the one I do...and it works with our schedule. She gets a feeding usually at 7-730am the next morning... Hoping it stays this way!!

When LO was less than a year old, we usually started the routine around 6:30 and got him to sleep by 7 or 7:30 latest. He is 22 months now and its' shifted later an hour, so we start the routine around 7:30, he goes to sleep around 8 - 8:30. Wish it were earlier but he wakes from his one nap at around 2:30.

We are at 7:30-8 at 4 month old, depends on when she wakes up from her nightly cat nap. We try to do bath and bottle by 7:15 and she falls asleep soon after.

D is 4 weeks on Thurs. I typically take him up around 8, change his diaper, massage/sing to him, and nurse. He falls asleep anywhere from 8:30-9. Right now, he falls asleep at the boob - I've tried putting him down before he's totally asleep, but he wakes up within 5 minutes and wails. Then he sleeps till 2 or 3 (4 this morning - woohoo!), nurses again, and goes back down till 5 or 6, nurses again, and is up around 7:30. Not too bad, and I'm hoping that first stretch of sleep continues to get longer.
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22276 posts
6:30pm on the dot. She starts bath or pajamas (non bath night) at 6pm and then we nurse at 6:15pm and she is out by 6:30pm.
