DH is 4 months old.
We are just starting sleep training and sleep scheduling. She was previously going to bed with me around 10:30-11, but I'm trying to change.
What time do your babies go to sleep?

Dd2 is 6.5 months and goes to bed at 7pm, pretty much since she came home.
Dd1 was different though, she stayed up until 10:00 or so until around 4 months when she started pushing her bedtime earlier on her own to 7pm.
It's funny to me how babies can be so different !

Baby is just a bit older than yours, 4.5mo, and he goes to bed by 8. Bedtime starts at 7 with a bath, then nursing and songs and bed. He sleeps to. 6am with one wake up around 1am

Baby is 5.5 months old. She goes to bed around 9 pm and is generally up around 7 am for a bottle and then goes back to sleep until 9 am.

@ebsc do you bathe every night? I feel like that helps her sleep but we live in a dry climate and i worry about her skin.

We start the bedtime routine between 7:15 and 7:30. DD is asleep by 8:15. She is 6 months. That includes a bath.

My 9 month old's bedtime routine starts at 6:30 or 7 and she is asleep by 7:30. We went to that time around 5 or 6 months. Before that she was going to bed at 9 or 10 and she was always cranky. Now she's a pretty happy baby.

My three month old and fifteen month old are both asleep by 7:30. DD1 had a late bedtime for a long time.

My almost 8 month old usually falls asleep around 8:30-9. I change her and get her into her jammies around 8, she plays for a little longer, she cuddles and plays with both of us, I nurse her, she drifts off. I keep her in the living room with me, I nurse her once more before I go to bed around midnight and put her down in her crib. She usually wakes once to eat and spends the second half of the night in our bed. She sleeps til around 8.

DS is 5.5 months old and the bedtime routine starts around 7:15 and he's asleep by 7:45 at the latest. He usually wakes up once between 1-3 for a quick nursing session and wakes for the day at 6. no bath for us.

@Keybee: most nights, yeah. I didn't when he was brand new, but have been for the last few weeks and it hasn't seemed to bother his skin. Not too dry here, overall, but I am still running the humidifier in his room and putting lotion on right after bath.

3.5 year old and 11 month old both about 8pm, since the beginning. A little earlier would be ideal, but I don't get home with them from day care until 6:30 and DH doesn't get home until 7:30, so it's just not possible,

Between 630 and 730 since she was born pretty much! It was much easier to get DD2 into a routine than DD1 because we already had a bedtime routine for DD1!

I SAH and LO went to bed around 11 for the longest time. His bedtime moved earlier as his naps got more predictable.

2 month old is asleep by 7.30 - sometimes as early as 6.30 depending on naps. He gets a bath each night.

It was 7:30 for a long time till he was taking two naps then 6:30. Now at 2 he's in bed between 6:30 and 7.

DS is 13m now, but ever since 5-6m, we started bedtime at 7:20 and he's in his crib by 7:30. Good luck!

my 8 month old goes to bed at 7:30 pm--but when I was out on Mat leave (until she was 5 months old), she had a slightly later bed time, which meant she slept in and I got more sleep.
I think back then she slept 9-8 am. Now she sleeps 7:30-6 or 6:30 am.

Weston is 5 weeks old and he goes into his bassinet around 9:30, but about half the time he falls asleep around 8 and then at 9:30 I just feed him a bit more and swaddle him.

Mine is 6 months and he goes down between 7:30 and 8 -- usually closer to 8 though lately!

7:30pm has been his bedtime since about 4 months. May it stay that way as long as possible, amen.

6 months. We have actually recently shifted bedtime to be a bit later. Between 7:30-8. 8 works the best for her to sleep through the night though.

On average 8:30 for our almost 11mo, but DH works fairly late & we sometimes are still eating dinner at 8pm. I'd love to get her to bed in the 7:00 hour, but don't want DH to miss seeing her, so I try to keep her happy long enough to visit during dinner, then she's off to bed.

LO is 12.5 months old and goes to bed bw 6:00-6:30. I sometimes wish he could stay up later, since we only get an hour and a half together before he goes to bed. We eat after he goes to sleep.

At that age he was going to bed around 6/6:30.
Many of the sleep professionals recommend bedtime for infants to be between 5 and 7pm and no later. And one theory is that that's why so many have a witching hour between those hours - it's because they are overtired and need to go to bed. For us it was very true, but every baby is different. And it's a lot easier to do that early of a bedtime since I SAH.
Aside from helping them get lots of sleep, it has the added benefit of extra alone time for mom/dad I love having a chunk of time from 7pm to 11pm to do what I want.

@Mrs. Pickles: before I went back to work he was waking up on our own at 7:15, which was so nice for me to sleep in. Now, DH and I get up at 5:40, get ready, and then get LO up around 6. Most of the time he is already awake, so I guess he has adjusted to the new schedule. He takes 2-2.5 he naps at daycare, so I guess he is getting enough sleep.

@Keybee: We did this too, the whole time I was on leave. I have been back at work for almost 2 months now (sheesh!) and we are just starting to put DS (5 months) down sooner. It seems he starts showing sleep cues around 8, so we take him up at 8 and go up ourselves around 9:30 (he is still in our room). Good luck! I am a believer in doing what works for your baby, not doing what everyone else does ... !

@Finfan: This has been nearly exactly our non-schedule so far! Haha. Works for me.

3.5 and 4 months, and they both go to bed around 8. The 4 month old occasionally takes a little longer to get down, though.

@wrkbrk: DH loves it because he is a night owl and I can feed baby (before leaving for work) while he and DD1 sleep until 8:30-9.
apricot / 488 posts
at around 3 months we started to put DS to bed between 7-8 (usually 730). He is 6mo and we are still on that schedule (though we are flexible if we happen to be out sometimes he stays up later).
