Our local elementary school runs from 9:15am to 3:45pm. It is so late for me, as I start work at 8:30, about 20 minutes away. I wish she was going to a school that started earlier but, what can you do? I've heard that the county made some schools start later so the younger kids get home after their older siblings, so the older siblings can watch them.

They're supposed to arrive at 7:40 for 7:50 start and finish at 2:50 or 3. It is going to be a huge change from going to preschool at 9! Mostly for me
although I will have to wake her up at least some of the time I think.

@mediagirl: @Mrs. Yoyo: There is just no way I could have my child at school by 7:45 am! She is not a morning person and she's often still sleeping at that time. Obviously we could do it if we had to, but it would not be pleasant.
