Dr. Google and Co., has so many conflicting opinions on what time of day to use opks! I've seen FMU because that's when most concentrated, second morning urine, afternoon wee, right at midnight (ok I haven't seen that one yet 
) But, honestly what time of day do you use yours? Last month I used clearblue digital advanced, which called for FMU. This time I acvidentally purchased clearblue EASY digital opk, which just says take after a 4hr hold on the instructions. I'm on cd 5, and got my positive smiley cd 9 last month (first month ttc). So, I plan to start them soon. I originally thought I would use them 2x a day,but I've already spent $38 on this box of 20! No wondfos, as I can't interpret lines wondering is it or is it not lol.

For me I always got the best results at 5pm so I stuck with that!

I got my best results in the late afternoon (3:00 - 4:00).

My best chance to remember was always first thing in the morning . . . I would close the toilet lid at night and place my CBEFM and test strip on top of the lid so that I would have to grab them in order to use the toilet in the morning! ;P

i found doing cheapies 2x day to be more helpful than once in the morning with the clear blue easy monitor (FMU required) or the smiley sticks. the smiley sticks missed O a couple times. if i could go back & start over, i wouldn't have bought the monitor or used $$ sticks, just more cheapies so i could do the morning and evening.

Hm. when I do them twice I do them morning and early evening (5 or 6). When I only do once a day I just do morning.

Does it make any difference as tk when I should be testing if I got my smiley positive at 2am on CD 9?? That was fmu for me bc I always go during the night. Darn you tiny bladder!

I do them after lunch. I always use the Clear Blue easy digitals. I start somewhere around day 9 and then I don't test twice until I get a positive. Then I'm crazy and continue testing until I get a negative.

Once I'm in the zone where I think it's getting close, I test FMU and afternoon cause I'm paranoid I'll miss it. But I always used wondfos

@dc yoga bee: how many days is your cycle?I know everyone's body is different but ovulating on day 9 or 10 seems early to me.
I know you don't want to interpret lines, but that's what I like most about the wondfos...I can tell when they're fading in and then fading out. I've never tried the smileys so I can really advise on them

I would pee at 1, then hold it and not really drink anything, would test when I left work at 430.

I never bothered with a hold, it doesn't seem to make a difference for me. I read that 2-4pm is best because it takes some time for LH to get into the urine once it spikes. But I'm not sure how much I buy that, because it can spike at any time of the day, and get into your kidneys at any time as well

Cheapies once a day until they look almost positive, then clearblue easy digis with fmu and afternoon/after work until I get a :).

@Littlebit: 26-28 days. I went from low to peak smiley on cd 9 at 2am. I noticed the next week I had tons of cm though! I never get the ew cm, just creamy or watery. Gence, we are trying preseed this cycle. Dh is getting on my nerves during this road trip so maybe not tonight lol.

@Littlebit: I agree with Littlebit, I liked the wondfos because I could see my LH going up! I tested once per day until the lines starting looking like they were progressing to the same intensity. Then I started testing twice per day. This cycle, I would have not noted my positive OPK until 12 hours later if I had only been testing once per day. I actually don't think it's that hard to read the wondfos and you can always use a more expensive test to back it up. I think in terms of testing, it's somewhat dependent on your schedule! This month I was able to test around lunch time, and then would test again sometime in the evening around dinner once I thought I was approaching my LH surge.
