I get formula samples (both Enfamil and Similac) every couple of weeks. I'm not sure how I got onto this list, but they're pretty large boxes of them. This latest sample came with 2-12.5 oz cans and four smaller pouches. I don't have any need for it right now, but I don't want to throw it away. I know it's expensive! Does anyone know of an organization that will accept it? I may just find a local women's shelter, but I thought you ladies might have a good idea.

If youre pregnant, it might be good to stash a can for emergencies.
As for the rest, definitely try a local womans shelter. My daughter no longer drinks it and it was never the right brand, so thats what we do when it comes.

I asked around at work and found a couple of coworkers who used those brands. What they couldn't use (I got a newborn sample and her LO was older) I put in the food drive box at church.
I did keep a can for emergencies.

I donate them to a local homeless shelter for women/children.. And I take the donation as a tax deduction.

I had given mine to a friend who gave birth a few months after me. Breastfeeding didn't work out for her and she made her DD a "custom" blend of formulas from using the 3 major brands so she took all my samples of my hands.

Food banks usually have a high need for formula.

Yes! I read once that food banks really love the donations and don't get a lot of formula, so definitely see if you can find one nearby and donate.

@Zippylef: Nope, not pregnant and we'll probably be moving before I am pregnant/have a baby so I don't want to move this stuff to another state.
