We are just starting yogurt with DS who is a few days shy of 9 months old. I feel like the "baby yogurt" at the store is a scam and am going to get something else less pricey... What kind do you get?

We buy plain yogurt by danone and I add my homemade apple sauce or pear puree or any other fruit.
The baby yogurt has added sugar so I decided not to go with it. But if you do want baby yogurt I heard the Yobaby brand has less sugar than other brands

P is dairy intolerant so we get coconut milk yogurt.
Idk what the differences are between regular & "baby" yogurts though.... Maybe less sugar?

I like Fage brand Greek (strained) yogurt. I just buy it plain (and full fat) and I usually mix pureed fruit in it to sweeten it. She also likes it plain.

Full fat plain yogurt (this is usually 4%) and 9% Greek yogurt. Yogurt is his favourite food!

We just give DS Chobani. He loves it. It is low fat, but DS is hit or miss if he will eat it, so DH or I end up eating what he doesn't eat. I never noticed whether it was low fat or full fat until recently. DH has been doing the shopping, so I haven't been to the store to compare brands lately.

I buy Yobaby because it's so hard to find full fat yogurt that's not in a giant container at our store.

We started with Yobaby. I liked the small container sizes, which was a good amount of food for a baby. And they are convenient to bring to daycare. Now I get the Fage or Chobani Greek yogurts because they are bigger.

YoBaby if I am at a store that carries it, otherwise a plain or vanilla greek yogurt- Fage, Chobani (brands that do the real strained process, I heard on NPR that some store brands have a process that cuts corners and uses more chemicals) and if I run out, he gets my Yoplait Simplait, it is really good!

I usually buy a tub of whole milk yogurt and mix in fruit and honey or a little bit of preserves. But if I'm feeling tired, I will buy YoBaby. LO also loves frozen yogurt popsicles for teething. I just make them out of the same yogurt/fruit mix.

@Weagle: Yeah we also only have the big tubs of plain yogurt at our store, I just take a spoonfull or two out and then mix it in with fruit in a bowl or a jar for daycare
