I think a spa day would be perfect!

  2. Bao

    GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22276 posts

For DH to put videos on a DVD for me and to spend the day with him and my girls.

  3. Rubies

    hostess / eggplant / 11068 posts

Spa day. Oooor, DH to take a day off work to spend time together.

  4. swedishfish

    GOLD / coconut / 8266 posts

@plantains: ooohhh, I want that too! Gorgeous!

I would like DH to take off of work.

  5. regberadaisy

    GOLD / wonderful pomegranate / 28905 posts

nothing this year because money is too tight. It would be nice if we can go out to brunch just the 3 of us. I'm sure we'll be heading over to ILs and cooking dinner over there on Mother's Day.

  6. travelgirl1

    cantaloupe / 6630 posts

For DH to help LO make me a card or a picture and for him to get up with her one morning so I can lie in.

  7. ZombieBullfrogHoller

    apricot / 319 posts

DH gave me my gift 6 weeks early, haha. We're awful at giving presents the day of. I always get excited and make him open his early, too. It's our initials and LO's initial on the baby bird.

  8. artsyfartsy

    cantaloupe / 6692 posts

I thought maybe just flowers but then Lovehoneybee posted a pic on Instagram of a personalized book she had for her LO. I definitely want one for T!!

  9. cmomma17

    honeydew / 7811 posts

    Dang, you guys are fancy!

    I just want breakfast!

  10. lavender

    grapefruit / 4554 posts

@cmomma17: My thoughts exactly! Dim Sum for us!

  11. regberadaisy

    GOLD / wonderful pomegranate / 28905 posts

@lavender: omggg I would kill for dim sum now. I was going to ask for my birthday. But my family is coming Easter weekend, two weekends prior, so we'll probably get dim sum in Toronto then!

  12. MrsKoala

    cantaloupe / 6869 posts

For my husband and son to spend the day with me. That's all!

  13. jhd

    coconut / 8079 posts

I will be happy with a card & time together.

  14. MoonMoon

    pomegranate / 3393 posts

    @ZombieBullfrogHoller: so cute!

I want a card from LO, and for my husband to take him when he wakes up, change him, feed him breakfast, then the 2 of them to bring me tea and waffles in bed

I'll probably just get the card!

  15. cascademom

    coconut / 8861 posts

Not to do morning routine on the day and a necklace.

  16. MamaMagpie

    persimmon / 1436 posts

It's my first Mother's Day so I am excited and nervous -- I don't want to build it up too much and then get disappointed (my birthday this year was...sad ).

Ultimate ultimate would be a sapphire eternity band (DSs birthstone) but I would also be happy with a giant coffee and breakfast in bed

  17. BSB

hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts

BFP from either this last natural cycle or our next IVF cycle!

  18. SugarplumsMom

    bananas / 9227 posts

Seafood dinner and a trip to the outdoor flea market beside the canal (if they have that this year).

  19. BabyMats

    nectarine / 2031 posts

This mother's day is also my birthday so I would like a weekend in Maui with hubs and my son. At least that is the plan

  20. yin

    honeydew / 7917 posts

Just some sort of acknowledgement that it's Mother's Day and not grandma day. I would love to spend it with just my DH and kids. No in-law's! I'm selfish.

  21. Ash

    honeydew / 7909 posts

    @yin: not selfish at all!

  22. ElbieKay

    pomegranate / 3231 posts

A day off from nursing/pumping but I know I won't get that. Maybe I will buy myself a half day at a spa and leave my husband to watch the baby.

  23. heartonastring

    pomegranate / 3895 posts

I would like a second eternity band..Diamonds are DD's birthstone after all . That's probably not going to happen though.

So more realistically? I would like a card with a nice note that acknowledges how far I've come since DD was born one year ago.

  24. Mrs. Jump Rope

    blogger / coconut / 8306 posts

For Mother's Day, I look forward to spending the day outside and planting flowers. We always start our day by having breakfast on the deck followed by a trip to Lowes for flowers.

My 30th is at the beginning of May, so I'm stumped on what I want for THAT! DH has told me "anything you want" and all I could come up with is a new flat iron lol

  25. littlek

    GOLD / squash / 13576 posts

@CupQuakeWalk: That would be so awesome!!! I really hope thats what you get!!

  26. littlebug

I want him to surprise me with tickets to the sold out Amos Lee show.  Or the sold out Phish show. Or the Brett Dennen show. Or...I mean,I just need some live music in my life.

  27. lamariniere

    pineapple / 12566 posts

Nothing! I have everything I need.

  28. looch

    wonderful pear / 26210 posts

An hour alone at Home Depot to pick up some pots and plants for the front porch!

  29. Smurfette

    GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts

@Mrs. Jump Rope: in that case diamonds, always diamonds!

  30. Mrs. Jump Rope

    blogger / coconut / 8306 posts

@Smurfette: I truly thought of that, but with a baby on the way I not so sure. Chloe used to pull out my earrings and broke one of my necklaces as a baby.

I wouldn't want us to spend the money on jewelry and it sit in a box for a year!

  31. Smurfette

    GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts

@Mrs. Jump Rope: Yeah but after #2 gets here you really won't have the money for diamonds. What about some stud earrings?

  32. Mrs. Jump Rope

    blogger / coconut / 8306 posts

@Smurfette: my earlobe are fat lol

I was given a pair of 1ct diamonds for my 21st bday, and lost one earring. I've always wanted to have the remaining stud turned into a necklace! Maybe I'll ask for that.

  33. LuLu Mom

    GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts

Hmmm a spa day would be fabulous (or just a massage) & an afternoon to myself to shop for some new work clothes/see a movie/get a pedicure.

  34. squeaks

    pea / 15 posts

@Rainbow Sprinkles: LOVE this necklace! And it would be so sweet with baby names. Bookmarking for Mother's Day 2015, when LO will be here. This year I want a prenatal massage!

  35. bpcmarj

    pomegranate / 3729 posts

I really want to sleep in and eat all my favorite foods. Maybe a fun picnic with DD and DH if the weather is nice enough But, I should probably look up the date and see when Mother's Day actually is

  36. Mamaof2

    squash / 13208 posts

My 1st few Mother's Day I wanted to just be with kids, and enjoy them - I got mommy bracelets and necklaces, etc.

Now 5 yrs later I just want a day alone!

No gifts - I just want DH to take the kids out for a few hours so I can just sit home and eat ice cream while watching TV ALL.BY.MYSELF

  37. Freckles

    honeydew / 7444 posts

Nothing. I'll probably ask for a few hours to myself.

  38. lovehoneybee

    GOLD / wonderful pea / 17697 posts

Last year was nice. D let me sleep in, made me breakfast and cleaned up the house, lol! We had some nice family time together, and then went out to dinner.

On a more materialistic note, I would LOVE some nice family photos!
