Before care mamas..... what do you send your school aged kids with for breakfast?
Looking for ideas..... thinking of changing things up for my 5yo this year....

We mainly have kodiak mix waffles and banana pancakes (1 banana mashed, 1 egg, 1/2 cup oatmeal). And lots of fruit 🤷♀️

@ChitownRo: cool! I have had a similar formula for breakfasts at school.....I'm stressing bc the fruit needs to be in a ziploc instead of Tupperware this year (disposable basically)........ what fruits do you send.... wondering if there are fruits I havent thought of....

We do clementines, apple slices, strawberries, blueberries mainly

Can you do granola and yogurt? That's what my kids eat many mornings. Or bagel with cream cheese.

I've been doing zucchini muffins (the Smitten Kitchen recipe without the sugar on top) and a small chicken sausage link, plus some fruit. That's tricky with the ziplocs and some fruits that are easily smooshed, but I guess it depends on what kind of bigger bag it's in and what the travel looks like.

Looking at brown bags carried to car, then out of the car into before care where they'll eat. -
I do a huge batch of kodiak pancakes and add mini chocolate chips to them. My kids also like when I add some food coloring to them for some reason so sometimes I oblige. My 1st grader gets two of these every day for his school snack. He's super picky and really only eats carbs so I always make them with whole milk and eggs so he's getting protein too!
