We are in the middle of a massive 2- part move and I know H is ready for solids now...Was going to wait until after the move so all we have bought so far is the ikea high chair and a steamer/purée machine...But for several reasons, I decided to start ASAP...
Other than the high chair and purée machine, what are the bare necessity basics I need as far as spoons/bibs/gear/etc?
I don't want to buy a bunch of stuff before we move!
I'd prefer stuff available on amazon prime- any suggestions?

You don't really "need" any of the puree machines and gadgets to make purees; we just used pots/pans/steam trays (or colander), and blender/food processor that we already had.
I think bibs and spoons are really the only must-have items to start. We didn't even have a high chair at first, just sat E down in her boppy or with a pillow to support her back a little.
For spoons and all food related gear, I looked for stuff either made in the USA or Europe (basically, not China) that was all BPA-free, etc.

Spoons and bibs are all I use for the actual eating but for making baby food I just froze the puréed veg etc in standard ice cube trays.

Some bibs, spoons, and bowls, and that's really it! I like the bowls and spoons by nuk (the spoons have soft tips) and the spoons by boon. For bibs, I really like the full body wipable ones by kushies. All of this stuff is available on amazon 
I would also get a sippy cup/straw cup to start introducing water as well--water helps with constipation, which you don't want H to have to deal with!

Nothing? Seriously you can use a tea spoon and in sure you have bibs. I wouldn't clutter the house with more things.
LO has a ton of stuff but really---we could do without. If anything: spoons?

@PrincessBaby: we have the zoli cup and really like it! It has a soft straw that's weighted, so even if LO tips the cup at a funny angle, he'll still be able to reach liquid.

We ordered some glass bowls from amazon and we really liked them for reheating food. I wouldn't think they are necessary though just for starting.

Agree that spoons and plastic, washable bibs were the most important. I ended up buying the 1 cup glass prep bowls from Pampered Chef (they have lids) and we use these all the time for reheating. We have a bunch of small containers that we love, but they are not 100% necessary.

A spoon is all I needed! I just used a steamer I already had and regular bowls.

really, nothing. J still doesn't use plates/bowls because he just throws them so might as well just use yours and not give them to her!
I guess maybe a baby spoon? and a bib - but I'm sure you have the bibs already. Oh I guess a high chair though we used the bumbo, bouncer, exersaucer and stroller many times!
Otherwise I wouldn't stress over it all the gear. You said you have something to puree so sounds like you're set!
Do you plan to do BLW?

Sounds like you have what you need, but here are a few extras to consider.
Silicone ice cube trays for freezing small portions of purees.
I love the feeding supplies that OXO Tot makes, especially the fork and spoon. My son could self feed pretty efficiently by 14 months because the fork and spoon actually work (the fork pokes without being dangerous and the bowl of the spoon is the perfect size)..
Also, a plastic bib that catches food, like what Baby Bjorn makes. It will save you a lot of sweeping/mopping when LO is self feeding. I found that regular cloth bibs just didn't cut it after DS was more involved in feeding himself.

We started last week and we bought the Ikea highchair, and,while we were there we bought some cheap but colourful plastic bowls,and spoons and we love them, I love that I can contrast the bowl colour against the puree colour. So far we haven't bought anything fancy at all and it's working out great.
