who pays for the supplies? Do the supplies come out of the teacher's own pocket or does daycare provide them?
LO just came home with a Mother's Day gift today and I was just wondering!

I would think that daycare provides the supplies.

I'm pretty sure the gifts at our school come out of the classroom budget, so the school pays... Or basically, we pay haha.

This is just based on briefly working at, not using, a daycare, as well as having a pretty good amount of acquaintances who are 0-5 teachers, but while teachers may try to use daycare materials a lot of things come out of their own pocket. So maybe a mix?

At our center, it comes from the daycare. We pay an activity fee each year.

When I taught in elementary school, often the basics would come from the school and if for summer reason we had enough left in our classroom budget the other items would come out of that. Often that budget was eaten up by the end of the year though so the teachers would pay for it.

The daycare provides the supplies. It is actually part of what you pay for in your fees. So I guess technically you pay for them! Lol

I'm sure it depends on the school. I teach in a public school, and those things come out of my own pocket. I usually try to keep the cost to around a dollar per gift.
