P was around 9 months when he stopped wanting to eat overnight... He decided on his own, our pedi suggested crying it out to get him to stop wanting a bottle (formula fed) but we didn't go that route.
how old was your baby?

What do you consider overnight feedings?
Around 11 weeks, I started doing a "dream feed" at 9:00 p.m. and Xander would then sleep until 5:00 a.m. We've continued to do this for the past few months (he's 5 months now).

@Adira: anything after you put him down at night til he wakes up for the day.
sometimes P (13 months) will wake up for a sippy cup of milk early morning before he gets up for the day...so maybe I should still say sometimes he still gets up once a night

@stargal: Okay then! I'm still doing two overnight feedings in that case! They just happen to work with my schedule.

At 3.5 months, both boys dropped their night feedings for good. Before then, they would wake up around 2 or 3 a.m. for a feeding. Now they're 7 months and still sleeping through from 7 p.m. to 6 or 7 a.m.

She started dropping a few sessions at 6 or 7 weeks and completely by 8 weeks. She prefers sleep over nursing.

Probably around 6-8 weeks old? By the time I went back to work at 12 weeks we had a good schedule going with no night wake ups. She is 9.5 months now and has continued to STTN. We started with the moms on call method at 4 weeks old.

M is 14 months old and still wakes once a night for me.

G dropped his bottles pretty early (can't really remember exactly when).
P is 16 mths & still nurses 1-2 times a night.

I think it was between 6-9 months. He would randomly want a bottle when he was sick, or going through a growth spurt after that.

ㅂ@autumnlove: ditto for my DS.
Month 5 was crazy though. He was up at least 2x a night to eat.
Most nights he sttn, but every once in a while he wakes once.

Ugh, i want my 4 month old to stop waking up to eat. It's really really sporadic...sometimes at midnight, sometimes at 3am....i'm hoping it's a 4 month regression thing and she's almost out of it. This thread makes me think i have awhile before that happens

DS1 was 2 years old. DS2 is 19 months and still wakes once a night. We breastfeed and cosleep.

LO is about to be six weeks and 5-6 days a week she has no overnight feedings. She cluster feeds in the evenings, goes to bed between 8-9, wakes up between 430-530, and then is awake until a nap around roughly 9am. This morning DH accidentally woke her up early, so she had a feeding then went back to sleep.

A was 6 weeks when she put herself on a STTN schedule. night before last was the first time in 8weeks that she was fed overnight.

@blackbird: I am with you! R is 5 months and has STTN before, numerous times, so now this 1-2 times a night, sucks.

6 weeks give or take a handful of times after that due to illnesses/teething/sleep regression at 4 months

Between 8-9 months. There were a few after that during illness.

At 9 months when we sleep trained. Before that, we co-bedded, and LO nursed throughout the night (due to her reflux).

From 4-8 months she was nursing twice a night. From 8-10 months, just once. And at 10 months on, she stopped altogether.

I was wondering this myself. LO is 7 months and eats 2xs a night. I'm so ready to sleep again.......I'm so tired! He has never STTN... not even once.

I think around 4 months. She went through a month of sometimes waking for a night bottle, sometimes not. Once we knew that she could frequently sleep 'til morning without a bottle we stopped feeding her when she woke up. We would go to her but not give her a bottle. After that she started STTN routinely.

Miss A is ten months and still has one or two feeds a night (EBF) but can and has STTN on occasion.
grapefruit / 4085 posts
Sometime around 3 months we dropped her 11pm feeding and she STTN.

Well we were doing a late nap with about a 9-10p feed til about 3.5 months. By 4 months no bottles after bedtime.

He is almost 8 months and still eats 2-3 times per night. We share a room and he falls asleep right away again, so it's not too bad. I think me going back to work caused him to reverse cylcle for a while, and it's not as bad as that was.
