We had ds' 12 month well check yest and our pedi recommended that we try peanut butter in the coming weeks. (he's 12.5 months now).
I just gave him a lil bit on a bite of bread.
And I'm so nervous watching him.

We just gave it to her in a controlled environment (allergist office) at 14 months, we had to be careful due to her scratch test saying she was allergic. Very much a unique situation.

my little guy is 10 months and grabbed my peanut butter sandwich just the other day and went to town on it. He was fine. Generally, anaphylactic shock can take up to two hours as far as I know.

I gave it to her on some toast right after her 12 month visit. Her ped said any allergy would show up really quickly but she wsn't concerned because DD hasn't had any food sensitivity and she is around peanut butter a lot since i eat like a jar a day. Thankfully, she was fine - and loves peanut butter just like her mama.

We introduced early, I think around 8 months? Now it's a staple in his breakfast choices! I was nervous the first couple times I gave it to him too.

Around 11 months. She loves peanut butter toast.

I think we tried earlier, at around 10 months. He was consuming several other potentially allergenic foods, like eggs and shrimp, so I wasn't as concerned if he never had allergenice foods.
He likes peanut butter, but his day care is nut free, so he only really gets it at home.

Lorelei was around 9 months. We didn't have any issue. I introduced it with Ellie at around age 15 months, and she had a mild allergy (would get bumps on her hands/rash) that persisted until about a year ago.

We tried it starting around 13 months. The first couple of times he was fine, but then he started breaking out with a rash around his mouth the next couple of times..I stopped giving it to him because I was a nervous wreck. I took him to an allergist last week who sent us to get a blood test to check for nut allergies..should have those results next week!

Tried when he turned 1 with a peanut butter sandwich. He had an allergic reaction right away, but it was pretty mild (redness around his mouth and possibly some itching). We confirmed the allergy with a blood test and scratch test. At Thanksgiving he had an exposure, and his reaction was much worse. We ended up giving him the epi-pen. So scary.

This is such a good question, I haven't tried yet but was wondering how to go about it because it's such a potentially serious allergy - my crazy side has thought about giving it to him in the hospital parking lot

Around 12 months...some peanut butter toast. I heard the reaction is pretty immediate but I remember being nervous just watching her that morning.

Around a year, I think, and it was completely by accident - we were eating pho and she got into the peanut sauce when we weren't paying attention. Thankfully she was fine!

I gave her some peanuts (crushed up) at maybe 6.5 months? I'm more nervous about peanut butter as a choking hazard than an allergy, I guess.

Well before a year! We are huge fans of peanut butter in our house. My son would eat it with a spoon out of the jar if we let him!

I was thinking about this the other day! LO is going to be 13 months old tomorrow and we have not yet tried it. I think we will try it this weekend and see how he does with it.

I think it was around 10-11 months, and not on purpose. I had been eating a sandwich, set it down on the table to use the bathroom, and while I was in there (he didn't come with me for once) he had managed to pull it off of the table and shove half of it in his mouth. Luckily he had no adverse reaction to it, since I didn't have Benadryl or anything at the time.
He loves PB now!

Right around 9 months, no issues thankfully!
I'm sure LO will love it! I found it hilarious watching LO's expression because of the texture.

I still haven't! I'm nervous. Ha. We have done almond butter though.
