I know there are variations of this question before, but starting a new one... What DPO did you get a positive? Did you test before your BFP and get a BFN? Trying to convince myself that BFN at 8 DPO doesn't mean I'm out

You're definitely not out. I tested on 9, 10, and 11 dpo and get negatives. BFP on 12dpo!

8 dpo is early! I actually tested at 8 and got a negative, so I was convinced I was out that month. 6 days later I realized AF was a couple days late which never happened. Took a test and BFP! I probably could had gotten the BFP 10-12 DPO, but I thought I was out already.

I got my BFP on 8dpo (in the afternoon with 4-hour urine hold)
ETA: I know that's not the norm, though, and I definitely don't think it means you're out!

8 is super early. I tested started at 9dpo-- stark negatives on 9 and 10. On 11 dpo, I had the faintest of faint lines on 2 wondfos, but didn't get what I would call a BFP until 12 dpo. You are definitely not out.

BFP at 12 DPO (period due next day). Didn't test earlier than that due to months of disappointing early testing!

8DPO is super early!
I got my BFP at 13DPO, but I didn't test any earlier because months of BFN made me sad. I was charting and tested the day AF was due because my temp was still up. As dark as the line was I prob would have gotten a positive 2-3 days earlier.

BFP on 12DPO but didn't test before then. Good luck! 8DPO is wayyyyy early, so you're so not out!

Super faint BFP at 11DPO. Straight up postitive at 13DPO.
You're still in the game! Good luck!

I never tested before my BFP at 13dpo, which was the day after my period was due. It was a VERY clear positive, there was no denying it. My OB actually recommended not testing until a week after it was due (I couldn't wait that long lol), Good luck

Tested 10 DPO in the morning: negative on a digital and a super faint positive on a FRER. Tested in the evening and a positive on both :).

I swear it was 8 days after the day we made the baby. Not sure when I ovulated because I wasn't ttc at the time, but I think baby making night was Sept 1 and bfp on Sept 9.

Thanks everyone for all the encouraging responses!!!!! Logically I knew it was probably too early, but good to hear it! Plus I love seeing all the stats on when most people seem to get BFP!

Tested at 12DPO but only because I had weird bleeding gums when I brushed my teeth the night before and that NEVER happens. I'm temping and I promised myself I wouldn't test until I had 14 elevated temps, but in hindsight, 12DPO actually made sense because my LP is only 11-12 days long.
8DPO is definitely VERY early! You could still be in the process of implantation! Good luck!

@sslm: @Foodnerd81: @NYCaliMama: y'all are making me feel a lot better!! 100% BFN this morning at 10 DPO. I was ultra bummed this morning cause I convinced myself that this might be lucky morning. Last night had backache, then woke up at 3am to pee - NEVER happens. I was having weird boob pains when I woke up.
Wish I could turn my type A traits off right now!

I stopped testing early since it was getting expensive and it made me sad, so I only tested once I was late. I think mine was 16 dpo since I was supposed to test on Mother's Day and couldn't handle another negative on a major holiday.

I got mine at 10DPO :). I might've gotten it sooner, but it was hard to tell because I used the ovidrel trigger, which causes tests to be positive. I was testing out the trigger for days, and I always got lines. At 8 and 9DPO it didn't show up though until just after 10 minutes (on FRERs) so I just assumed it was the trigger. But in retrospect, it may have shown up anyways.

I chimed in for A, but for this baby I got a positive on 10dpo and it was pretty clear.

With my LO, I got my BFP on 10 DPO. I had implantation bleeding, just a spot. So, a few days later, I tested and got my positive.

@Dandelion: I used these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001FYPND4/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 They showed lines pretty early. I later tested with a FRER on that Thursday when my period was due. I picked them because I didn't like Wondfos. I preferred the cheap stick instead of the strip.

@Dandelion: a wondfo first and then frer. The FRER was much darker than the wondfos this time around.

I didn't test until the day AF was due, so 14+ DPO and only got a squinter. Tested again 2-3 days later and got a BFP.

@Dandelion: No problem. I know that they're a couple years old now, but I liked them as HPT and OPK. When we TTC again, I'll probably use them again.

I got mine 10 DPO (very very faint). If I didn't look at it again after my shower, I would have thrown the Wondfo out and never realized anything until I missed my period. Also, I wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't developed a good "line eye" by looking at so many other Bee's HPTs.

Since I never commented on my own thread, mine was 9 DPO (later MC @ 8 wk) on FRER - its given me an unhealthy expectation for the TWW! Ha!

Obviously this is super late response, but for the record, if you read the info on the pregnancy tests, they explain that when they say you can get a positive up to however many days before AF is due, that doesn't mean much. I think it starts with something like 20% of women who are actually pregnant will get a positive at the earliest date, and that goes up with each subsequent day until it's in the 90's and stops, since some women don't metabolize hcg into their urine and therefore never get a positive.

I searched out this thread today looking for a reason to POAS at 7 DPO. I figure I shall just refrain from such silliness. Ugh... TWW...
eggplant / 11408 posts
@MrsMcD: I got a super, super squinter/possibly an evap at 11 DPO and had a positive, but low, beta level at 12 DPO. I've never been one to get a positive test early, but that doesn't mean I didn't try! It just means that if you do break down and POAS, you shouldn't give up, even at 10, 11, 12 DPO.
The sane answer is yes, 7 DPO is super early. But you wouldn't be the first to test ridiculously early, and if you decide to, you certainly won't be the last
