I wanted to let DS try some chili, but I'm not sure if I should because it's pretty spicy! He's 9.5 months.

After a year. I'd made a spicy soup. She liked it but she did get her hands in her eyes afterward and they got irritated! Now I feed her anything with heat if I can but if she insists on feeding herself (which she usually does!) I try to wipe her hands between each few bites.

Our LO was eating Indian food at 6 months. But if your chili is really heat-spicy, you might want to make sure you have milk on hand

Probably about 8 months, we never really tried to keep the spicy stuff out of her food. Now at 15 months she loves spicy foods!

Right away. She eats Indian and Thai curries, spicy kimchi, chili, Mexican fare etc. etc. She's also a freak of nature, so....yeah.

we didn't really shy away from it? we don't eat spicy in general, but he's had 'ethnic' food since the beginning and we just water down any korean food that's too spicy or even chili--we water it down a bit... he scarfs it all up!

We gave DS some Indian food around 8 or 9 months (he's now 18 months). He usually does well with heat, although he spit some spicy curry out at me this evening. Lovely...
