At 15 weeks its probably too early but we are about to swaddle wean and he loves his A&A security blanket. I'm wondering if letting him hold it will make the transition easier but am scared to leave it in the crib

I've completely lost track of weeks but somewhere around 4 months. I could breathe through it (also an a+a security blanket) when it was folded up into a little ball and he had very strong head/neck control and dexterity. He loves it!

DS didn't start getting attached to his blankets until about month five but I was never that mom that worried about my kids suffocating so he slept with his blankets all the time, day and night. Yeah, I'm 'that mom'. Optimistically fearless. At 15 months, we're doing great.

@coacheswife123: I started giving L a lovey while he's in his rock n play when i get ready/eat breakfast in the morning. He loves to chew on it. Not ready to let him sleep with it yet...we started letting his arms out the past few nights and it's gone very well!

Around 5.5 months/ Also an A&A lovey--they're so thin that I don't worry too much.

Between 5 and 6 months we started letting him sleep with an A&A blanket. He loves them and we've never had any issues.

The A&A blankets are very breathable so I personally wouldn't worry about it. DS is still swaddled at night so we don't give him a lovey, but we cover him with an A&A swaddle blanket for naps and he's adopted them as his loveys, he gets really excited when he sees/feels one of those blankets and is always looking around for it when I put him down, and loves gripping it and pulling it up to his face. It's pretty cute.
