If your LO was EBF, when did you get to the point of only morning and night nursing?
Right now I have a 10 month old, and I nurse her 4x a day. Morning, and after her morning and afternoon naps, then before bed. Plus the occasional wake up in the middle of the night. But I don't really count those, because she barely nurses....

11 months? She started WCM at 10.5 mo- about 6 oz a day. Shortly after we dropped it to mornings only- she was fully weaned by 12.5 months.

My LO ate every three hours until she was a year old. Then we started transitioning her day care bottles to whole milk and once her bottles were all milk we switched to cups, and then by about 13 months she was just drinking milk and meals and nursing morning and night.

I moved him to twice a day at 24 1/2 months.

@youboots: I think that's the path I will be on truthfully. I want to get pregnant again soon, so I'm thinking I may try to wean around 1 year.

@MrsRcCar: this is gonna be me. He's only 15 months but not even close to twice a day! My friend and i were out at a restaurant/winery yesterday and we were chatting about how we were trying to limit our sons to nursing morning, night, and maybe nap... And we both started off the afternoon staying no not now when they would ask for it but by the end we both nursed them several times! Those little snacky types

@MrsBrewer: yeah it was not really my plan- I wanted to go a little longer until the end of cold & flu season at least. She was one who rarely asked. She self weaned essentially. I'm glad it was easy for her. Girlfriend loves WCM. Not sure want I want to say here- it went well for us so I guess it's just a little encouragement.

@youboots: My LO rarely asks to nurse either. Except for when she's tired! Then she always nuzzles in. But truthfully, she doesn't even nurse much, it's more of just a thing to do to fall asleep lol

i have the same question as you! We have the same nursing schedule and ive been torturing myself with the choices. Should I transition in WCM or formula at this point? Id really like to stop pumping soon. I pump twice a day at work and mentallyI am DONE with that. Hes gonna be 10 months next week.

I only nursed mornings, evenings and MOTN starting from about 9months. My kids were HUGE solids fans and could feed themselves really well plus they both took water at that age.

12.5 months then I dropped the AM session, then at 13 months dropped the pm session
This time we are down to am and pm nursing sessions, two daytime bottles, and will keep that up until 11 months where we'll introduce almond milk and slowly transition!

My big girl didn't cut back until closer to two when my milk dried up due to pregnancy. My wee guy has just had his first birthday and nurse 4x a day (plus the odd night session)

At 10 months, I started dropping a feed every couple of weeks. By 12 months we were down to morning and night and at 13 months just a night feeding. Shortly after that we weaned entirely.

My twins are 23 months and still nursing around 4x per day each. Sometimes more. That's actually a dramatic cut back from a couple months ago. I'm hoping to get down to 2x a day by June, when DH and I are planning to leave them overnight.

around a 13 months I pump weaned at work, but we still nursed morning, after work, before bed, and whenever on the weekends. we moved to just morning/night around 16 months, and moved to just nights around 17 months. We just weaned completely at 18 months.

11 months, sometimes we would have a during the day nurse if he had a big fall, or woke up upset from a nap.
We ended up weaning at 12.5 months because I am pregnant and my supply totally tanked. He stopped wanting to and started taking milk.
