Whether formula or breast milk- I don't nurse DS to sleep, but I do nurse him right before bedtime each night. He is 9 mos old and not STTN yet.
When (and how!) did you stop?

Around 15 months. DD lost interest on her own once I took away the bottle. She didn't want bedtime milk in another type of cup so I started giving her water instead.

I stopped when I officially weaned her from her last nighttime bottle at 13-months. I just gave her whole milk for dinner that night and never gave her the bottle before bed and went straight to her bedtime routine. It was a surprisingly smooth transition and she didn't seem to miss it after the first day or two!

We took away the bottle at 1 year and replaced it with a straw cup. That reduced his milk intake dramatically (especially before bedtime). We switched it from milk to water, then eventually took it away around 14 or 15 months.

we switched to a sippy cup full time at 12 months, offered that to her at night, she usually wouldn't take it. We stopped offering milk at night soon after that.

@lovelife: were you nursing prior to the sippy cup?
I'm just wondering how I should go about cutting out nursing at bedtime! I know I have several more months but I don't want it to become an issue when I inevitably wean.
