LO started rolling from back to tummy and also pretty consistently busting out of her swaddleme. Is it time to wean? She's only 11.5 weeks old!!!

We tried it for a week at 6 months, had horrible sleep for all of us, and decided she can sleep in a swaddle forever.

It was probably 15 weeks we started swaddling arms out with a Halo swaddle sack. She still likes the tightness on her chest. I am glad we did it when we did since she is now rolling over and sleeping on her tummy.

2 1/2 months. Went cold turkey..., and she was able to find her thumb and sleep through the night.

We weaned at 3.5 months since LO started to roll over. We didn't have much of a choice and did it cold turkey.

We didn't swaddle wean until about 5 months. If your LO can roll over in it I don't think you have much of a choice though.
ETA: M was in a sleep sack with a swaddle for the last couple of months so at least her legs were free.

Both my kids were really not much for the swaddles. I think I did away with the swaddle for my DD around a month. She was Houdini in it and seemed happier without it. My DS needed the swaddle to stay asleep but even then we probably stopped swaddling before 3 months.

@artbee: wow! I hope we are that lucky!
We are trying a sleep sack right now. She is asleep for now... Really hoping we are lucky and she just transitions fine!!

Just to update in case anyone is interested! We used a sleep sack last night and it went great! She didn't sleep any more or any less than normal so I'm counting it as a win :). Hope it continues!

@sslm: good to know! DD has been rolling for a couple weeks now, but not when swaddled, so I haven't felt the need to swaddle wean yet, but I know it's coming! Glad it went so well for you!
ETA: What kind of sleep sack did you use?

@hergreenapples: she started rolling 2 weeks ago but since I was on vacation at my parents she was sleeping in the room with me, so I felt ok still swaddling. She hasn't yet rolled in her swaddle but I'm too paranoid to wait for that to happen!! We used an ergo cocoon. My mom bought it. It's cool because the arm holes snap shut so it can be used as a swaddle too, but we never used it that way.

I stopped swaddling both my babies once they started showing signs of being able to roll over. I then switched from the SwaddleMe blanket to the Summer Swaddle Sack (with a onsie or sleeper on underneath). My LO is now 14 months and she still likes sleeping in her sack.

We swaddle weaned at 4.5 months when DD started trying to roll in the Miracle Blanket. I used the Zipadee-Zip to swaddle wean and DD wore that to sleep until she was 1 year old due to her eczema.

Almost 2 months old. N hated being swaddled, so it made doing away with easier.

Six months. We were scared! But we did it and slept trained at the same time.

It just depends. Try it and see. I did it too long with my LO... until like 4.5 months... I was afraid she couldnt' sleep without it but in the end she slept better.

Update! We have done 4 nights now in her ergo cocoon with arms out. So far, no issues or differences in sleep patterns
