My LO is too stubborn to accept any help with eating, so he's been very good with the spoon since about 15 months? He definitely used to do that flipping thing when he was learning. He still has a hard time with the fork though at 25 months, he loses patience and just picks things up!

@Bao: We've got a spoon-flipper, too! She's almost 22 months and I'd say 50% of the time she flips it (always with something messy like soup, too...lol). Other than that she's been using utensils since around 15 months really well. I was surprised how fast she caught on!
