She started using a spoon at around 11 months. It took a while for her to get good with the fork after I introduced it at 1 year. Now she likes to use kiddie chopsticks.

We introduced at around 1 year. At 19 months she's pretty good but only uses her utensils half the time. It's easier to shovel food into your mouth with your hands.

I think 1 is pretty normal. Our youngest didn't start using utensils until around probably 2 or 3. His mother doesn't believe in it or something. I think MacDonald's is her preferred meal establishment.

We started around 13 months and at 16 months she's still pretty bad! Her spoon is always upside down! Haha

He started grabbing it from me before 1 yr, but at 14 mo is still not able to get much on the spoon even though he can bring it to his mouth. He is pretty good with a fork.

My 14 month old is very eager to use a spoon, and she's getting pretty good at the motion. Now, whether that delivers much yogurt into her mouth is another question.
