I know babies spit it (mine does frequently) but when does it become less common? I'm asking this because DS is 7 months old and the chair I nurse in is pretty well stained with spit up, but I don't want to get a new one until spitting up becomes more of a rare occurrence.

curious about this. my LO is almost 7 months and there are spit up stains all over the carpet (even after i spot clean). a full carpet cleaning/shampoo has been on my to-do list for...almost 7 months! what a coincidence.

Once we introduced more solids his spitting up got a lot better. So around 5-6 months

We are 10 months and still spitting strong...although I will say with medicine it's not AS much.

Around 6 months it got a lot better and now at 10 months it's a rare occurrence.

I can't say when exactly he stopped, but he's almost 1 now and it's a very surprising occurrence when he spits up these days! maybe he stopped around 8 or 9 months? my problem was our carpets, lol!

My first stopped around 4 months or so. My second never spits up!

Slowed down around 6 months and then was a rare occurrence after 9 months. I remember we hardly had to use burp cloths anymore and it was nice not having them in random spots all over the house.

I still see spit up probably twice a day at 8 months. Now it's colored from solids, gross. He's never been a super spitter.. just a consistent one.
