LO has been sleeping through the night (7-7) since last wednesday at 12 weeks.
I'm thanking the sleep gods for this amazing streak and wondering if this is a growth spurt extra sleepy time, or if he really has hit a sttn trend (at least until the 4 month regression...KNOCK ON WOOD)....

Do you mean 12 hours of uninterrupted sleep? It wasn't until LO was 10 months old.

he started STTN at 8 weeks and 2 days, and slept about 8-10 hours a night. about 2 weeks ago he stopped for about 5 days, with one night feeding and then back to it. and now the past 4 days he has also been waking once during the night....my fingers crossed that he goes back to it! overall though, since he started STTN, he has done it more often than not, so i am happy! He is 14 weeks now.

Around 15 weeks. He's 20 weeks now and no regression knock on wood. Sleep is amaaaaazing.

Still hasnt at nine months. Her longest was eight hours when she' was three months old.

LO didn't consistently sleep more than 3 hours at a time till he was 7 months old... I think around 10-11 months was when he started being able to go 7:30 AM - 5:30 AM without needing us to get up with him.

She's not doing 12 hours yet but at 12 weeks she consistently sleeps 9pm to 7am. Now if I could just get the child to nap....

@mamamoose: amen sista friend, wish LO would nap better. our longest nap is 1.5 in the am~ usually 30-45 cat naps otherwise.

This is a sore subject 
LO slept through the night from 6weeks til 3.5 months. Then the 4 month sleep regression started and she hasn't been consistent since. Lately she will go down at 7, wake up at 10, 12-1, 4-5.
I'm tired!

@yellowbird: Sore subject here too. We're at 6 months old this week with the occasional STTN. We're thinking about CIO again or some form of sleep training. Since he's 6 months old, he's also teething and growth spurting, so sleep might still be a problem for awhile.

He was around 3-4 months and lately has been up every hour or two. It's killing me!

Still hasn't at 5.5 months. Our best ever was 4.5 hours at about 10 weeks. Our best lately has been 2 hours (that was this past Friday night!), although LO has (slient) reflux that we are working to get a handle on.

G - Around 4 months when I sleep trained him (it was pretty sporadic though)
P - She's slept 8 hours twice. She's 10 months. She does sleep 5-6 hour stretches though.

At 7.5 months, he still hasn't slept through the night. The best we have ever done is about six hours. We are planning to sleep train for night wake ups this week (we already trained for falling asleep at around 3 months which was a big success). Wish me luck!

Miss A usually sleeps a nine-ten hour stretch at night but she goes to bed at 7:30pm so she wakes for a feed anywhere between 4:00 and 5:30am. I'm not sure if that counts as STTN but she's been doing it since she was about nine or ten weeks old I think.

Charlie at 4.5 months when we sleep trained.
Olive -- still not sttn at 16 months! She did for one month after we sleep trained, but every little illness throws her sleep off. I'm just used to getting up at this point.

IDK depends what you mean by STTN...At 2 mo it was still 4 hr stretches at night, generally (although she had done as many as 8 hr at 6w) ...at 2.5 mo it was 8 hrs, at 3-4 months it lengthened to 9.5 hrs, and now at just over 5 months it's 10 hrs, max has been 11...

21 long months!!! No lie...and still not a full 12 hours but a HUGE improvement so this extremely sleep deprived mama will take it!

LO has STTN (10+hrs) twice in 6.5 months. He started sleeping one 5-6 hour stretch at about 5.5 months but is still waking up 1-2 times a night.

For those of you whose babies didn't start STTN until after 7 months....did you end up doing some sort of sleep training, or did you just wait it out?
LO is almost 7 months and still has a horrible time falling asleeo, staying asleep, and not waking up a ton at night. We've tried a few different types of sleep training, but none to avail. Just wondering if it's something we should keep stressing and working hard at, or if it just doesn't happen for some until later...?

@Keppa: It's different for every baby! Some babies are just very wakeful even if you sleep train.
If you want to sleep train--the sooner the better but it is your decision for your family if sleep training is right for you.
And some people decide to sleep train only after many exhausted nights as a last resort. Others won't even consider it as a last resort.

Not until a year! He did one waking for a looooong time. I tried to let him CIO a couple of times, but it just wasn't a good fit for us. But he has been an absolute rock star since then. I've been in there once, literally, in the middle of the night in the past 8 months.

E is almost 5 months and he never has Since the 4 month regression hit almost 2 weeks ago it's been reallyyyy rough. We are planning on sleep training.
