It took 9 days for my milk to show up after my LO was born by emerg C-section. I really beat myself up and cried way too much during that time...I hope I don't have to wait that long for Baby #2!
When did your milk come in for your second child?

The milk coming in and my low supply really stressed me out with lo. This time around I'll nurse, pump and supplement with formula if I have to. Crazy how much more relaxed I feel with this baby.

@autumnlove: I had an unplanned csection too and it took over a week for my milk to come in too...I was a wreck so like you, this is one of my biggest worries for any future babies. I am subscribing to this thread.
My best friend had an unplanned csection with her first and it took a long time for her milk to come in but with her second she said her milk came in right away...day 2...this gives me hope. I plan to take my pump to the hospital and to start pumping right away.

With my second, he came early and was in the NICU for the first 24 hours of his life. So, I had to pump. I didn't think too much about it, but my nurses were very impressed with how much I got. I've never really paid attention to when the milk came in, but the nurses were happy with what I got and it felt like I had much more much earlier than with DD.

I didn't have a c section either time, but it definitely came in faster the second time. It came in less than 48 hours after delivery and I was still in the hospital. I was induced the first time, so that might have also slowed things down.
