M will be 4 months next week (!!!!!) and if my pediatrician suggests it, we may start some purees for fun. We don't have a high chair yet. Has anyone else started just trying early solids with their lo sitting in the bouncy seat or bumbo?
When will we need the high chair?

The bumbo is fine until you're doing real meals! We didn't really use ours until he was eating solids 3 times a day.

I didn't use a high chair until she was 5 months old. I used the Bumbo before that...I just don't like sitting on the floor!

we are starting solids at 6 months and will use the high chair right away. You can get the bumbo play tray if you want

We have the Mamas and Papas chair (like the bumbo but the tray comes with it) and have been using that. I'm considering getting a highchair soon though, I'm tired of sitting on the floor! DS is 6 months old.

I would say that you NEED one around 6 months. If you start solids early, you can use a bumbo or bouncy seat before that.

We didn't buy her high chair until she was like 5.5 months, I think? until then, we just used the bouncer.

We feed M puree and cereal in her bumbo and haven't had any issues yet.

LO is 4.5 months old and we have been using the high chair for a few weeks. She sits in it really well and hangs out in it while I cook dinner, wash bottles, etc. We also started cereal last week,so she sits in it for meal times.

We sit T in the bumbo or bouncy seat when we feed him solids - he'll be 5 mos. next week and I will probably set up the high chair when he's 6 months. I can't deal with more clutter at the moment!

LO is 5 months and I just bought him a high chair. We haven't started solids yet so he just sits in it and plays with toys, but he loves it! I also don't like the idea of sitting on the floor to feed him.
