I remember being very hopeful because my symptoms had been different for that pms than any other.

When the word "pregnant" showed up on the digital test, I just started shaking. I had a card and present hidden for DH, and my handwriting was so shaky!!!! I also had no idea what to even put in the card. (Full disclosure- my 4am brain couldn't think, so I googled "what to put in card to tell your husband you are having a baby." Miraculously, there weren't any helpful results.)

We had been ntnp for 7 months, and actively trying for 6 months.

I was so excited and happy, and started planning when and how to tell our family, names, nursery ideas, etc. I remember calling the dr office the moment it opened so I could make an appt.

We've since had a mc, but I can't wait for that moment again. I do worry I won't be able to enjoy it, though....

I was shocked even though I gues logically I shouldn't save been. First words to myself were holy crap!

The next two days I tested again because of course i wanted to see if the line would get darker (it did, to a point) and because I didn't totally believe it the first time, lol. I also remember being very nervous about the risk of miscarriage early on. I told dh two days later (waited due to something with his work) and he was thrilled.

I saw very faint lines for 2 days (8 and 9 dpo). The next morning, there was an obvious line, so I went to the store (at 5:30am) and picked up a digital. It said "Pregnant" and I was so happy! But also, very nervous because I had a miscarriage 8 months before. I spent that whole day (and really, the whole pregnancy) telling myself "I am pregnant TODAY."

I was stunned, especially seeing an emergency room test at 7dpo had been negative. Those two lines showed up straight away though - bold! I did a digital and "Pregnant" showed up. I was shaking and grinning like an idiot. It was great!

Cautiously ecstatic with a mix of oh sh*t. I knew that a lot of things could still happen (I was only 9dpo)

Well considering it was the first hpt I'd ever taken and I was already pretty sure I was pregnant, it was more of confirmation than anything and I was kind of neutral about it! We'd been TTC for twelve months so when my temps hasn't dropped and my boobs were still sore I pretty much knew I was knocked up

Having said all that the two tests I took did sit on my dressing table till Miss A was born...

My first thought was, "No fucking way"- I didn't believe I was seeing what I was seeing. I then threw on a towel (I was about to get into the shower) and raced into our kitchen, yelling for DH. We had been trying for two years, and it was the result of an FET after a failed IVF. I had been spotting two days prior, and I was convinced it was over. I just POAS because I wanted to be sure that it hadn't worked before I went in for my beta. I was shaking- I've never, ever been more elated.

The first time, I was SO convinced there was no chance. We had managed to BD maybe twice the entire month, and it was our first month trying. My back was hurting, just like AF was coming, and I wanted to take some advil. But it occurred to me that advil wasn't allowed if I was pregnant, so I tested just in case. I was 100% sure it would be negative. But a positive popped up immediately! I started shaking SO hard. I took the test upstairs and held it out to DH (all thoughts of my cute plans to tell him had gone right out the window), and he said "it's not positive." I think he thought I was just messing with him. His response was something like "well, okay then." We were both pretty shocked. I was definitely super excited. I wasted a ton of tests because I just couldn't believe it!

Lost that one, sadly, and second time I tested a ton, super early. So my first positive with that was so faint I wasn't sure it was real. Once I was sure, I was excited, but not very. That one had bad numbers on my betas, so I never really had time to get excited or anything.

This time, I just KNEW from 3dpo that I was pregnant. I tested early, and the lines that I got were so insanely faint that anyone who looked at them would have thought I'd lost my mind for thinking they were positive. But I was right! For some reason I've stayed really confident this time. I keep thinking I shouldn't be letting myself get so excited, but I'm 7 weeks today and still looking and feeling good!

We had only been trying for a couple of months. I was shocked, excited, and scared. I tried not to get too attached, because I knew everything that could happen. Cautiously optimistic (and freaking out about the enormity of it all) is probably the best way to describe it!

@bisous: aww… glad your SO was happy too! We had had a birth control mishap and had talked about me taking the morning after pill. I left it up to him and he said that the odds of it happening from one mishap were so low that if I ended up pregnant it was obviously meant to be and we should just "let it ride." lol. Sounded good in theory but when I turned up pregnant I was terrified he'd be upset! Now of course we can't imagine it happening any other way!

#1, I was slightly shocked. I had felt like AF was on her way, I had all my usual AF symptoms. I was a day late, but that was completely unheard of. I took the test and just started shaking and crying. I ran outside and yelled for my husband to come in, he knew right away.

#2, complete and total shock! like a "OMG! this can't be happening! we have a 7 month old!' kind of shocked. it was a complete surprise. I just couldn't believe it. I was happy, but oh so scared! I was terrified that my husband was going to freak out as well.

We were on honeymoon for three weeks in Thailand and Cambodia. We has plans to TTC the following month in January 2012. We had a night in our room though that was in my window and my husband told me to forget about the sponge sp I did. I really didn't think I was pregnant. I had a test that indicated low AMH and I was 34 years old. We went to Cambodia or a week and then came back to Thailand for our beach resort portion of the trip. I had pink spotting when I wiped but it was at around 11DPO so I just expected a period. My nipples were also killing me and I screamed when my hubs grabbed me during a romp but still thought nothing of it. I bought some pads from the grocery but by then my spotting was gone and I had just creamy CM. still didn't think anything of it because I know implantation bleeding is pretty rare. The day after Xmas we were in Trat, Thailand which is the mainland of the beach our resort was in. We decided to stay a night there then head to Bangkok for a day then our flight home. My husband decided to get a tattoo of the Chang Beer logo on his arm and it looked sp cool that I decided I wanted a tattoo as well but the place was closing so we waited to the next day. That morning I realized I was 15DPO and I am like clockwork. I told my husband at breakfast "I'm totally NOT but I should probably take a pregnancy test just in case because I'm late. He was very boastful and sure that I was pregnant. I wasn't at all convinced but we got the test and he decided to get the camera ready to film my reaction to reading it. Well here's that picture. I still didn't really believe it until we got home abs I took a digital. I took about 7 Thai tests before we left including one in the airplane bathroom that I snuck because my husband thought I was crazy.

Shock and disbelief.

We got our BFP two days before Christmas. I only tested because I hadn't in a while (I kinda needed to every now and then since I rarely had AF) and we were going to be telling my ILs about our Infertility. Both my sister and my SIL had just announced their pregnancies, and DH and I were feeling very bleak for our holiday season.

I did not for one second expect I was going to get a positive that morning. After all our trouble TTC and my PCOS diagnosis, I was going to start fertility treatments the next month. Getting pregnant competely without medical intervention was impossible. I had long and irregular cycles and the cycle I had before this one was 60 days long so I didn't even think I was halfway through a cycle when I tested CD36. I hadn't had a cycle that short since BCP wore off a year earlier. As I was waking up that morning I was repeating in my head "Pui, it's going to be negative. It's going to be negative" to remind myself to try and prevent disappointed.

The lines came up SO fast and so dark. I just starred at the test, incredulous. My first thought was maybe I used a OPK by mistake? But nope, it was an HPT. Then I thought maybe this test was broken?? Did I do something wrong??

I don't think I started really feeling excited and happy until we got the betas back later that day. That whole day was crazy. My whole life changed. I never really believed in miracles before, but I do now. I'm 9 weeks today.

I was shocked. We had been NTNP, and my husband is diabetic, which can make getting pregnant harder. I took a test at 8dpo in the evening while he was at the store, forgot about it until he got home, and then went back to chuck it and it was a faint positive. So I took another one the next morning and it turned positive in less than a minute. It was 4:30 am. I woke up my husband at 4:45 to tell him he was going to be a father.

I didn't actually take a HPT, I had a blood test at the fertility clinic and was CONVINCED it would be negative as I had all the signs of a period. I didn't answer the phone when the nurse called with the results as I couldn't deal with hearing it out loud and just carried on doing the 30 Day Shred DVD. After I finished I finally listened to the voicemail and I can still hear her voice in my head telling me that it was good news, the test was positive! I was shaking, crying, pacing up and down and so, so shocked. I remember thinking "shit, shit, shit" then thinking "what the eff do I need to do if I'm pregnant?", and googling it to see what I should/shouldn't be doing or eating. For a long time in my life I thought I would never be pregnant and it had consumed my thoughts. To actually be pregnant felt like a miracle My daughter is 14 months old now.
